The Beef Wellington Burger is one the best burger I've ever had in my life! Savory tangy and the blue cheese just kicks it over... the top. Read more
Saw this place was listed as the 2nd best burger spot in RVA so I had to try it out. First the good: the spot has a really good... vibe, nice corner lot in Cary Town, awesome outdoor seating area and decent indoor seating options and they had a decent sizeparking area which is hard to come by in that district! The wait staff was quick, friendly, helpful, no complaints for themanagement on the facilities or team. The bad: for being the 2nd best burger spot in RVA the burger options were a littleunderwhelming. I got the Hangover, had a Mexican chili sauce, fried egg, bacon. The sauce made the bun really soggy, and alltogether the flavors didn?t quite compliment each other. The wife got the Wellington, blue cheese, mushrooms, HP sauce(which waslike A1 sauce). The flavors again didn?t really come together. Additionally, the burgers only came with a mixed green saladthat seemed like no one put thought into the dressing. The fries had to purchased separately(not unheard of these days butrather annoying). Their beer menu was pitched as a rolling feature of craft beers, but overall their menu had 1 bottled, and 16draft, and 1 of those was out after I ordered it. Would have liked to have Speight?s beer and some pickled beets on the menu asthe restaurant brands itself as a New Zealand spot. Overall: I believe the moniker for 2nd best burger spot is over rated. Does it belong on the list of top 10, probably. They had fresh ingredients, different menu options for those who don?t want aburger, and the staff and location was good. If I?m in that area next time for a burger, I won?t spend $54 for lunch for 2. Read more
Went on a Saturday evening (about 7). It didn't seem too busy for the time, we got sat pretty quickly but it was ar least 10... minutes before we finally had a "waitress". She failed to introduce herself (I had to ask later). No smile, really nopersonality...anyway, the burger was good (I had the "Hangover Cure" which had 2 eggs on top of the burger, interesting, andyummy.) The burger was very soggy so I had to eat it with a fork as it kept falling apart (they might want to stick a fewtoothpicks to help it stay together). A friend had the lamb and said it was good. We had to ask 3 times for our waitress sowe could order drinks...when she finally did come (15 minutes later), took our order and disappeared again. Fast forward 10 moreminutes, STILL NO drink, so we cancelled them. The manager said it was because they ran out of glasses?? Really?! Boo! Noteven an apology. I will not be going back. Read more
Excellent place in Cary Town I skipped the burger for Shrimp sautéed with French sauce. And a fruit cup. I did not stay long... because a very bad storm was moving in but The people around me seemed to enjoy what they were eating. I would go back. Read more
