Thoroughly enjoy the food here. We had the mushu pork and the numb numb beef (spicy with the Szechuan peppercorns) that were... both delicious! The cocktails were wonderful too! Many unique options. Highly recommend! Read more

We really have mixed feelings about Beijing! The first time we went we had take away and it was quite good especially the... tangerine beef and the dumplings in and spicy sauce. The second time we went and ate inside the restaurant and I have to say wewere a little disappointed. The green beans were extremely salty and the basil chicken didn?t have much basil flavor. We wouldtake pause if we?re going to try it again? Read more

absolutely loved my meal - pork gyozas, curry noodles and cookie monster ice cream sandwich. the staff were lovely. Free parking... right behind the building. Nice and upscale place. The bar looks really appealing - unfortunately I am not drinking age yet -i?ll just have to come visit again!! Only bad-ish things were it was rather loud with stereo music and people talking over it.and very cold from the AC. I still very much enjoyed my time there and would go again :) Read more

The ginger soup was amazing and came with a bowl of rice. The basil beef was interesting but I probably would not get it again.... It was a bit spicy which I liked but the basil was completely overwhelming to me so if you don?t live basil I wouldn?t recommendit. The dumplings were a a great appetizer and I would definitely order again. Read more

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO EAT HERE AFTER 8 PM, CALL FIRST!! They have a tendency to close early when it's slow. I walk 3 miles to... eat here and made it tonight 5 min before the kitchen shut down. I watched 6 people get turned away 1.5 hrs before closing timelisted on google maps. People sometimes remember when you do well, but they NEVER FORGET YOUR MISTAKES! Human nature I guess..Idoubt the savings of closing early makes up for the long term damage done by leaving people with a bad taste in their mouth(yes, pun intended). Still giving 5 stars because a management mistake does not diminish the high quality of the food/service(in my opinion. I have owned/managed several food related businesses). I had basil beef and green bean stir fry. Both very goodand cooked just right. The beef was tender, and the green beans were nice and garlicky (is that a real word?) and still with alittle snap. Consistently good food and service, good covid spacing and high ceilings makes this a place I recommend. Read more

My new fav Chinese restaurant in Richmond. The ambiance is trendy, has an upscale feeling with private dining room and wall of... wines. My husband didn?t think that he was eating at a Chinese restaurant. The best thing about Beijing on Grove is quality oftheir food. Every dish I had was well prepared and flavorful. I am Chinese, so if I say it is good, you should trust me. Besides the food, they have a well thought after wine and beer list. I had their drink special Dragon Punch, I loved the spicyafter taste. The cocktail wasn?t watered down like some of the restaurants. I really enjoyed my drink. After dinner, both myhusband and I felt as we had a VIP experience, thanks to the staffing team. This place also has a full bar with two TVs behindthe bar. It would be a great place to grab a drink and watch the game. Read more

Great spot for traditional or modern Asian dishes. The fried eggplant appetizer was outstanding! The portions are giant and the... service is great. Pretty surprised at how good the cocktails were as well. I was excited about the house made kimchi but itwasn't spicy enough. It was good - nice and crunchy, but more like a slaw. Definitely needed more heat. Overall a goodexperience and will definitely return! Read more

We were waiting on a table on Continental Westhampton when we decided to try this place. We got a table outside which can feel... cramped if it is packed on a mildly chill day. As a suggestion, they could put some heater outside just like The DailyRestaurant does at Carytown. Our server was helpful to explain the menu to our taste. So, we decided to try some appetizers.First, we got chili dumplings which was surprisingly delicious. Also, it is not super spicy so, if you are not a spicy foodieyou can eat it. Then, we ordered crispy chicken rolls, crispy calamari, and a side of fried rice. Well, the side of fried ricewas nothing to write home about it. Pretty bland. I could make it better. Also, crispy calamari was bland and not worth a try. But, the crispy chicken rolls were tasty and great size to share. As for entrees, we decided to comeback later to try as theylooked big enough to share. Read more
