Ordered for delivery on grubhub. the combo shown was $26, it was cold, veggies undercooked, and in no way worth the cost. Your... side choices are rice, fries, GRILLED veggies. If you choose the veg option, you will be receiving frozen veggies seasoned a lilbit. The only thing that was nailed was the side salad, very good dressing...but a good dressing isn't hard to do. I came all the way from Newport News for this food! It?s amazing, everything was packaged well, customer service was amazing,... one of the employees named Yahya helped my husband and I. He helped with providing me great choices on the menu! I got chickenshawarmas and three drinks which were 2 Arabic teas and a smoothie I customized and I everything was perfectly satisfying! It?s hard to find restaurants here that use spices where needed. This one succeeds! Many Lebanese menu items and every dish we... got was delicious. From the pita and dips (hummus, garlic, pickles) Chicken Ghallaba, and Lamb Haneeth. The side salad had arefreshing herbed dressing, the lentil soup was mild but good, but I suggest to avoid the side of vegetables and get the riceinstead! The food IS delicious. The falafel wrap was very satisfying. The portion sizes are typically more than sufficient. But... considering the lamb chops cost about 30$ for only 5 of them, they are missing a lot of meat. I'm left wondering if the to-goand delivery orders are given the majority of these sparse chops bc the eat-in customers are more likely to complain. Also thebaklava serving was enough for 4 bites. We had lunch at al- Amir. We were really looking forward for halal shawarma place. It wasn?t a real shawarma place though. When... we say shawarma it?s supposed to be slow roasted and thinly sliced pieces of meat. We ordered spicy salmon with hummus, chickenshawarma platter and one haneeth( lamb platter) Food wasn?t hot and was ok in taste. Was lil disappointed. place is nice thoughand had good sitting area.
