Ruthie's is our favorite local restaurant. The beef fajitas are always amazing and their salsa is the best! I don't recommend... ordering to go, it is always a mess and for whatever reason the lady bartender hates giving the large bag of chips to go andonly gives the small bag of chips about the size of your average school lunch brown bag and then makes a fuss when you ask foranother. I will say my rating went up a star as the service seems to have gotten a bit better once we became regulars. We aresurprised it is not more busy here but we are also glad as well in a way as it's not crowded. Read more

I had a great meal experience with ordering and eating. The price is fair for the amount of food and food taste fresh and hot. ... I ordered crispy and soft tacos, they came with rice and beans. I ordered fries and a flauta a la carte. They added a side ofchips and salsa to the order. I had enough to share with my family. It was delicious to each of us. Read more
Finally got to check out Ruthie?s. Went at 5:30 on Saturday hoping we?d get there before the busier time. About half full... with a good crowd at the bar watching the Astros. Ordered Banderas platter and my husband had chicken enchiladas. Didn?tfeel like drinks so just got water which tasted straight from the tap with a slice of lemon which helped to cover the tap waterflavor. The food was good and served quickly and hot. My platter included carnitas which was really REALLY tasty. Rest ofthe meal was good but nothing extraordinary. Next time I?ll try the fabled fajitas and hope it meets the reviews others gavereported. All in all a decent basic texmex experience and happy to have them in the neighborhood! Read more
I nothing but GREAT things to say about Ruthie's! It's hands down my FAVORITE Mexican restaurant in Houston. The service is... impeccable, I have grown very fond of Dulce I'm always happy to see her smiling face! We make it in at least 3 times a month!The Chimichanga is my favorite dish ???? The Margarita's are awesome ( I always get the Mango Margarita with Chamoy AND Tajin).As long as they're open I'll be there! Read more
