I’ve been to Cristobal twice and this neighborhood eatery has a lot going for it. Mexican beer choices are great and the range... of unique mixed drinks is awesome. I’ve also found the pours on the drinks to be very generous. Food is excellent…last timewe had the fried cheese with chorizo sauces and grilled pepper… wow, this is such a great tasting and unique appetizer! I hadthe tacos Al pastor and the Central American plates both time I’ve been . The food is full o flat flavor and there is plentyto satisfy you! Sooo. Me and my wife moved to Texas. We have been looking for authentic Mexican food. We have tried so many places. Gringos is... gross, El Vaquero steals your money, etc! Cristobal is awesome they have the best of both. And service is second to none! Wehave become regulars and I am so happy to have found this place! Read more

This is not authentic Mexican food like many of the reviews have stated. Food was good, but not great. Service and drinks (mango... mojito) were great. I would say it's overpriced for the quality of food you get. Overall it was okay, but food was notmemorable. Read more

Three servers with a total of 5 tables and a couple of people at the bar and they still couldn't cut it. Never bussed the table.... We had a pile of plates all over. They take forever to bring out the food, too. Like over half an hour for items that literallytake 10-15 minutes in a regular restaurant setting. Had to get up to get the check ourselves even after flagging them down forto go plates. The food is good, but the service ruins it and we've been twice with the same outcome. I guess if you want a VERYleisurely meal and don't mind the mess on your table or lack of service, it's ok. Hence the 2 stars. Read more

Went during one of the weekend for lunch. There were no other customers beside us until later on. The staffs are friendly and... serve fresh chips and salsa while we waited for our food. However, it took well over 40 minutes for our food to arrive and wefinished 2 baskets of chip and still waiting. The food are good but I probably won't go back if I have to wait that long. Read more

This place is amazing! I ordered guacamole for an appetizer and it was prepared table side. So you are getting genuine guacamole... not imitation guacamole. Also the margaritas are delicious!
