I?ve been to a couple of church offshoot cafes. Café du Couvent is by far the most superior. The owners have curated a casual... rustic coziness. The large open-door kitchen on the right bustles, bringing forth a buttery aroma. The music is low enough tosoothe without disturbing the sense of silence. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is comparatively cheap. I paidnine dollar and twenty-five cents, for a croissant sandwich filled with impressive amounts of cheese and ham. I was pleasantlysurprise with the fruit salad on the side. The cafe is easy to access. The church parking lot is free and right in front of thecafe. Furthermore, although there were no clients with children during my stay, I am certain this cafe is kid friendly. There isa tiny table next to the window. All sorts of games and books are stacked a tiny arms reach away. To conclude, if you arelooking for a piece of peace, look no further. Read more
