Reviews for Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle in Richmond, BC
Great noodles here! We always come to chef Hung for comfort food after long haul flight.
We go here all the time with my mom. We love this place. Staff is friendly and efficient + always makes sure the tea is... refilled! The food is great, and the portions are massive. After eating the mall is great to go around and walk around too! Read more
Very good beef noodles and soup. The spicy noodle soups aren't overly spicy and also have a lot of flavor (The spice isn't... overpowering and doesn't ruin flavor). The proportions are either average or above average and also very filling. Besides theamazing food, the staff was good and very nice (had no problems with them). I definitely will recommend this to friends and comeback as there are a wide variety of dishes (including things besides noodles like fried rice dishes or chicken cutlets). Read more
Pros: Pretty decent Taiwanese noodles. There was a nice selection of noodle and broth choices. The side dishes (xialongbao ???)... and beef wrap were also quite homey. Taste was good and not as salty as some of the other reviewers have ntoed. The wait was nottoo long despite the lunch rush. Well done. Location is also nice inside Aberdeen mall with parking and washrooms. Cons: Onlyreason this is four stars and not five stars is some of the weird behaviour from the host/usher fellow. After having us sanitizeand wrote down our contact info, he rushed to the table and waited for us impatiently there, even though my wife is pregnant andcannot walk that fast. When my wife and I sat down he gave us one cup of hot water and one cup of tea. When we sat down oppositeof the seating arrangement he expected, he then switched the cups of tea and water around without any explanation, so we had toask the next server for more tea. Also, I was speaking Cantonese to him the whole time but he kept speaking Mandarin and Englishin response, whereas I saw him speaking Cantonese with other guests, which was bewildering. Read more
We had a beef noodle soup with rice noodle, beef wrap and xiao long bao (steamed pork soup dumplings). The noodle soup was... delicious and was not that salty as others reviewed so we were relieved. Xiao long bao was plain, nothing special. The beef wrapwas also decent but there was not really anything too special about it. The staff were very friendly and quick. I recommendothers to try the place! Read more
Maybe I went on an ?off day? but the Taiwanese beef noodles was waaaay too salty. The beef shank, tendon and tripe were... delicious and cooked perfectly; the noodles were great but the soup ? it was so salty, it was almost inedible. Don?t think I?llbe eating at the Aberdeen location any time soon. Read more
Chef Hung has superbly delicious dishes. They are not only known for their delicious beef noodles, but also for the various... pastries/dumplings/buns and wraps. For the first time, we had their lunch combo special, which is comprised of both beef noodlesoup, shredded beef on rice, pickled vegetable, mango pudding and a special drink. Each item in the lunch-combo is outstandingin its own right. We have been here many times (lunch and dinner) and have always had fantastic meals. Highly recommended! Read more
Was very excited to try but it was not as good as advertised. Soup is very watery meaning mostly water so very bland. Meat is... not bad. Noodles itself is too floury. I hope they know if they say?it?s the winning beef noodles? they are going to provide youwith that level of deliciousness. Disappointed. Read more
