Reviews for Big Star Sandwich Richmond in Richmond, BC
Was walking by and said ?hey, I?ve always wanted to try their sandwiches? Glad I did! Didn?t know what to order from the many... delicious sandwiches. Was recommended the popular Turkey#2. Delicious. The meat so tender, perfect amount of dressing, thechoice of bun all blended excellent. Polite staff. After a pleasant conversation with owner? I would like to remind ourcommunity to please support our local small businesses. Read more
Sandwich overall felt pretty fresh and healthy. I ordered a large but could only eat half as the bread was very tough and my... brain was literally tired of chewing. For price vs quality & portion - I personally would not recommend. Read more
Ordered on Skip the dishes so it was expensive for sandwiches. Great fresh bread and sauces. Ingredients all fresh. Good... sandwich overall. May be worth it in person. Read more
Great sandwiches at a reasonable price. Made fresh to order. Good vegetarian options. Service was brisk and efficient, if not... very friendly. My turkey with stuffing and cranberry was very tasty. My wife had the veggie sandwich without any fake meat, 29 Ithink. She said it was also very good. We'll definitely come back when we are in the area around lunch time! Read more
Tried for first time this week. I ordered by phone and picked up. It was ready quickly, they weren't busy at all. It's tucked... behind and kind of hidden in the ironwood mall. I ordered a large #1 turkey sandwich that has stuffing in it. It was very goodbut also very expensive for a barely 20 cm sandwich that cost $16+ .That's just over 7 inches. Compare that with 6 inch/footlong at Subway and free toppings. Big Star will charge you extra for even lettuce. The sandwich was small so I also went to alsoget some chili at Wendy's because I was starving. But it was different, made with real turkey (which is my weakness), the breadwas fresh and tasty stuffing. Not sure I'd rush back because it's so pricey but was a good treat. Read more
I love this roast beef , Num.27 sandwich. Supper delicious! Nice owner and wife, nice customer service!
First time trying Big Star, and it met the expectations of being a solid sandwich shop. Price can be a bit steep, but at least... the size of the large is fair. Picture shows a large Tony Montana (~$13.50) pulled pork sandwich. Pork was tender and moist, the saucing amount was just right, and the bread is excellent. Hickory sticks are interesting, but a novelty which the sandwichdoesn't have to have. Would go back to try their 20+ other menu options at some point. Read more
Tasty but way too expensive. Portions sizes have become really stingy lately. Weight of the sandwich is not a pound as promised... in advertising. See pics. I?m really unhappy paying $16.50 for sandwich that?s advertised as a large, but that ends up beingjust a tiny sandwich consisting of just bread and a little bit of roast beef cold cuts (see pics) with a bland gravy-like saucethat you have no choice but to dip into because the sandwich is mostly bread so dry it?s hard to swallow (see pics). At the pubon 3rd Ave, it costs $20.50 for a proper beef dip, with fresh bread, it?s loaded with real house made roasted beef, real au jusand with a large portion of fresh crispy fries. I wish someone would open a decent sandwich shop in Richmond like the great onesin Vancouver on Pender, Commercial and Broadway. For now, I?ll just stick to the many great bahn mi shops when I want a goodsandwich in Richmond. Read more
