A Vietnamese restaurant that serves a different atmosphere for home-styled favourites, they also do desserts that make it marry... this with an eclectic charm for french inspired decor and treats. To the subject at hand though the pho is one of the mostmemorable for its bone marrow compliments to their dish. If one is so lucky to get a decent amount this adds to the richness offlavor and a uniqueness to presentation. Flashiness aside, the broth gains great addition from it, but does trade meats for thisexperience. No tripe nor tendon in these bowls means those looking for that to satiate their lust for broth cooked slices maybe left wanting. What was an interesting surprise was the deep fried shrimp, intricately wrapped in a flaky fry that crunchesand delightfully pleases. The dipping sauce adds a citrus element that cuts through the salty and sweet fish sauce which is agreat addition I thought. The only remaining point is that it is pricey (at least considering similar price changes forrestaurants). $20 pho is not something to slouch over, but maybe that's the price to pay so as not to leave with clothessmelling of the food one has eaten. Great Vietnamese restaurant that was recommended by my Vietnamese friends. It was my first time having bun rieu, and it was... definitely a satisfying food experience. They also sell cute character macarons. Food This was my first time having bun rieuand it was a great experience here! The soup had a good tomato and seafood taste. I would definitely get it again here and wantto come back and try their pho as well. The beef and pork tapioca starch dumplings were also very good. The tapioca starchcasing was a little bit on the chewy side and made the dumpling interesting to eat. Atmosphere The interior design is nice andcute. The food came out on cute trays as well. A casual atmosphere to enjoy a warm bowl of soup or have a Bánh misandwich. Pricing A little bit more than your average pho place as the soups ranged about 15-20 CAD. Overall the quality isgood and worth the price. Service Staff was extremely friendly and the food came out very fast. They always asked if we neededanything and were helpful in splitting the bill among multiple people. Other The parking lot is shared with a variety of otherstores and so I utilized those. Read more

This is a difficult experience to rate and I'm hopeful that the situation is a one off. We will likely not choose to dine here... again. This restaurant has a lot going for it and a loyal following as reflected in the reviews here. The decor and menu arebest described as upscale. There are modern takes on classic Vietnamese dishes and the treatment preserves traditional flavor, yet gives a new twist for the diner. The decor is reminiscent of a french cafe and would be right at home in the classic hotelslocated in district one in Saigon. Everything was clean and well maintained in the front service area. As has been said, theservice is good; but lacks precision. Our soups came out separated by more than a few minutes (even though they were the samedish). This causes one of the diners to start ahead of the other and throws the rhythm of the meal out of sync. I noticedother tables had similar service patterns. Awareness was also limited, as we had to call for the waitress twice. The food iswhere our experience was derailed. Presentation was lovely. However, portions were small. The pho broth lacked flavor and wefound it a little too salty. Also disappointing was the rice noodles which had a very starchy texture, revealing they had notbeen adequately prepared prior to being added to the broth. However, we were most put off by discovering a live cut-worm in thebasil leaves of one dish. We certainly understand this is always a risk when handling the fresh ingredients required inVietnamese food. We also understand this is not a common occurrence at this restaurant. At the same time, our meal was ruinedas we started to question if other cut-worms may infest the dish and remain unseen. When we identified the problem to thewaitress, she apologized and took appropriate corrective measures. She allowed us to cancel the rolls we had ordered and struckthe one dish from our bill. She seemed very surprised by the situation, which is a good indicatio Read more

Beautiful Vietnamese restaurant First visit on Sep 6 Decoration 5/5 saves entire restaurant Atmosphere 4/5 is like a cafe shop... or library. if you talk too loud, everyone can hear you talk. Service 4/5: high expectations of the beautiful restaurant but theservice is quiet. No chatting, no explanation - server just sits us down at the table and not even welcome or tell us to scan tosee the menu, no check back to the table even not that busy Food 4/5 presentation is beautiful but the taste doesn't match Wouldcome back to try out Bun Rieu and Bun Bo Hue Read more

Have been getting takeout several times in the last 2 years during the pandemic, but now was able to eat in for years. It was... busy but the service was very good and efficient. As always the food is a step above the average small Vietnamese restaurant. Ofcourse you pay more, but I think it's worth it. Read more

The ambiance is beautiful and service is good. I ordered a crab tomato noodles soup and they put real crab meat. The soup is... very flavourful, and it doesn’t taste much MSG. The soup is so good that I have to order extra. One thing I was not very happywas the server didn’t inform me how much the charge would be for extra broth. The soup is flavourful. Food has goodpresentation, overall tastes good, but it’s a little on the bland side. Read more

Beautiful ambience for Vietnamese food. A little Cafe attached to it with desserts. Some hot chilly one can buy to go. Tea... served in China felt like high tea. Reminded me when I was in Hanoi- French influence. Excellent service and the food was good.Parking is free in the mall. Advantages of living in Richmond. Lots of choices and easily accessible.
