Reviews for Monterosso's Italian Restaurant in Richland, WA
Went looking for DDD Joints near Richland Washington and found this place. Ask the front desk folks at our hotel about it and... their comments were ?That?s a good one? so we checked it out. You need reservations because it?s in a 1940s Rail Road DinningCar so the seating is limited but whatever you have to do to get here is well worth it. Great food, and awesome service!! I gota Smoked Salmon Mac and Cheese, the wife a Cajun Seafood with Pasta, homemade Pasta that is!! You can really tell thedifference. So much great stuff in the menu you are sure to find find something for everyone!!! Read more
Have always wanted to eat here, celebrated my birthday with dinner. Absolutely delicious!! The house salad with a blueberry... vinegrette made my taste buds dance. Veal parmesan was amazing and perfect. The candle on my cheesecake was a sweet touch. Thankyou for everything. Will definitely return. Read more
This was our second foray to Monterosso's. Both times the food was amazing, the service impeccable and the atmosphere charming.... Would recommend this experience for anybody with the caveat that you understand what you're getting into. It is an antiquedining car; there is not an overabundance of space, conversations carry. If you're looking for a private venue, look elsewhere. If you're looking for amazing food, the experience of eating in an antique dining car with very friendly and amazing staff, thisis for you. What a quaint experience. The atmosphere was really cool as this restaurant is located inside a train car. The food was very... good, I had the cajun chicken special and I enjoyed it very much. The wait staff was timely and attentive to our needs. Read more
Monterosso's is pretty okay. They don't have an online reservation system, so you need to call and leave a message or after... 3:30. It's a tight space, antique train car, which is nice. The problem: many people who walk on board and turned away becausethey are booked up and these people have no choice, but to be in your personal dining space due to the the narrow walkway. Theyshould put a sign outside letting people know reservation only, booked for the night to avoid this issue. The server tookforever to bring out bread and the bread was very different from any Italian restaurant I have ever been to. They were out ofthe pork tenderloin on a Friday, which was disappointing. My daughter's entrée must have been waiting on the others because itcame out luke warm. The rest of the food was good, but not exceptional. I don't think I will be back because the service wasmediocre and because of the other annoyances. Read more
Amazing restaurant, the food is delicious and the train cart is super cute. Highly recommend!
We came here on a recommendation but won't be back as we were disappointed with the food. My wild mushroom capellini came out... without the garlic, butter and wine sauce and they apologized and made me up some. The mushrooms and prawns were pretty bland. The tiramisu was delicious but a little frozen in the middle. The Bolognese had very little meat in the red sauce. The servicefrom our server was great, but sometimes sparse - there was only one person working front of house. Might be a little more puttogether on the weekends. Read more
