Our family ate here last night because of the high reviews, and we didn't receive the same type of food yall loving apparently... because my husband and I agreed the food tasted old and dry. Was mediocre. Disappointed because we paid a lot of money ($75) for2 plates of food and a drink to share. The service was quick but I don't recommend this place. And we won't be coming back here. The very best Mexican food we have had since we moved here a year and a half ago. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed... and treated like family. Maria Isabel was the best and explained the menu and brought out the most delicious homemade salsamade by her father, the chef. The chips were warm and the salsa was so addicting that I almost had no room for the main course.I also ordered the Cadillac Margarita which was amazing. My main course was the chicken enchiladas mole. I have had mole saucein hundreds of restaurants during my five decades on earth and this was THE BEST BY FAR! I could not finish my plate but MariaIsabel nicely packed up the left overs with an extra to go helping of their salsa and chips. This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. Food is great, well-priced, portions are generous, and the staff is so... friendly, remembers us, and always stops by our table to say hello. We especially enjoy the fajitas for two, cheese enchiladas,and mole enchiladas, and look forward to trying more. Highly recommended! Read more
Outstanding service and the food is THE BEST in Tri-Cities! I had the Chile Verde that was tender and lean with scrumptious mild... green sauce. Although they will spice it up upon request. My husband had Chile Colorado. The steak was just as tender and leanas the pork. We'll be back! Read more

El Agave is absolutely one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. Dishes are very flavorful with generous portions. Menu has... a lot of great options. I've had two different meals and they were both outstanding. Service is stellar. Prices are veryreasonable. Read more
