I?ve been going to the Front Porch since I can remember! It?s a family-owned restaurant, and the same lady has been cooking for... them since she was 18 years old. Boy, does she know how to throw down in the kitchen! My old school teacher told me the houseactually used to belong to one of her friends, but when they turned the road into a busy highway they sold; so for anyonethinking it needs an upgrade, there?s a lot of history behind it. I highly recommend the baked chicken, fried pork chops, Macand cheese, cabbage, and broccoli casserole, but you can?t go wrong with anything. Fried green tomatoes should always be eatenas an appetizer? they are the best I?ve ever had (just not sold on Sunday). Don?t even think about not trying the cornbread. Notmany places can top it! It?s buttery with a hint of sweetness, and never dry. If you?re looking for local catering, they?realways a good option. We used to get the BBQ, Mac and cheese and green beans for our birthday parties. I?ve moved to Charlotte, but will always road trip back home for some front porch!!! If you?re stopping by exit 65 off of 77, make the stop for a try. Read more

If you are traveling I-77 and have a hankering for a good home cooked meal, you must stop at The Front Porch. The atmosphere is... probably not everyone's taste, but I loved it. There are china hutches a fireplace and an old upright piano scattered aboutthe dining rooms. You get a meat and three here for $11.99 (as of 10/23/2022). The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned andcrispy outside, tender and juicy inside. The side options are plentiful. I especially loved the candied yams and the beets.Beef tips with gravy were also delicious. Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely stop if we come this way again. Read more

This place was just what we needed! I'm traveling with my small family and really wanted home cooked food, not fast food.... Although there was a wait, we enjoyed some time on the front porch and looking at the gorgeous wild flowers. This place is verywelcoming. There were plenty of Togo orders as well as other dine in guest so the wait was completely understandable. I'llhappily wait for real food :) Read more

We stopped here after a softball game. It was wonderful. The decor is suitable for the name. It was just like walking into a... home. There was a fire place with pictures on the mantle. We even sat at kitchen tables, just like my Grandma had. We were inthe main room, but it looked as if the other rooms opened up for ample seating. The food reminded me of Cracker Barrel?s. Youcould choose a meat and vegetables. They also had other options for ordering as well. I had the flounder. There were alsoburgers and such as well. The desserts looked wonderful but we didn?t try those, we were too full. Everyone was nice and thefood was delicious. We will definitely be stopping again if we are ever that way! Read more
