This place has romantic date-night vibes. While the food was satisfactory, I don't see myself dining here often because of the... menu prices. To start, we had the deviled eggs. The menu says that the deviled eggs have a rotating selection of flavors. Notquite sure what exactly they used for the deviled eggs, but I did notice a prominent cumin flavor. They were good but not mypreferred flavor profile. The short rib meat on the arepas were very tender, but I felt like there was too much going on, sonone of the flavors/ingredients stood out to me. As for my the Wagyu Shortrib, again, the meat was very tender, but I wish itwas just a tad more flavorful. The mashed potatoes were rather liquidy, and the carrots weren't as soft as I would'veliked. Absolute quality, the food, the ingredients, the way everything is prepared is top notch. This is a no nonsense place where they... just do things right. The place is relatively comfortable, enough space, even for our stroller. Nothing too fancy or specialabout the interior. Service was really good, they were very accommodating and helpful with recommendations. I had a wedge saladand the waitress suggested salmon with it, it was fantastic. I've passed this place and kept saying I must try it. First and foremost the bartender was amazing. The Manhattan and Old... Fashion were perfect. The brussel sprouts with bacon were very good and the crab dip while made creamy was not bad at all. Thechicken fried chicken was good, the bacon wrapped meatloaf and the smoked short rib were cooked well and only needed moreseasoning. All in all it was a very good outing. One of our favorite spots to grab some amazingly delicious apps is The Fifth: Fireside Patio and Bar in Richardson. Our staples... are the crispy brussels and bacon (they'll convert anyone with their delicious crunch and hint of spicy sweetness) and the crabdip served with focaccia bread. I stumbled onto this quaint little area and ended up having a pleasant time dining outdoor on the patio. Our waiter... (Travis/Justin; can't exactly remember) was very kind and relaxed. There wasn't anyone inside so I'd assume I was one of 2couples dining at the restaurant. The drinks made by their bartender were delectable. The Maple Old Fashioned and Paloma werevery classy. Also, I had ordered the Poutine which was FANTASTIC. We kept the gravy and used it as dipping sauce for the burger.The Bacon Bleu Burger really hit home for me. This is what I consider the perfect bacon Bleu. The creamiest Bleu cheese, withthe crispiest bacon. A perfect toasted bun with fresh vegetables.
