Stopped by to get a to-go lunch. It was a cute little place with good prices. The service was very nice. It had a decent menu. I... got the Tom Kha soup to go with a side of rice noodles to go. I did enjoy the range of proteins they had to pick from. You donot see scallops very often. The food came out quick and was hot. It was still very warm by the time I got home. Tasted verynice. Gotta say this is some fine Thai cuisine. They don't do very spicy, even at levels 4 or 5, but the flavor is great so I don't... even care. Minced Chicken Thai Basil is so yummy Read more

Ordered a Tom Yum soup and Pad See Ewe via Uber Eats delivery. Once it arrived and the soup was opened up, we were taken aback... by its unusual appearance. It looked like a tub of raw vegetables floating in a slightly murky water, not the reddish opaquebroth that is to be expected in tom yum soup. The broth tasted like watered down pickle juice, with very little flavor. It wasbriney, salty, and bland, with absolutely no spice. The vegetables were bland and undercooked with the same bland pickle flavor.Whatever this was, it wasn't like any tom yum soup I've tried. Thankfully, the pad see ew was tasty if not lacking in spice aswell. A little Sriracha made it quite tasty, and it ultimately saved the meal. Unfortunately, their version of tom yum has lefta bad taste in my mouth both literally and figuratively. I don't leave reviews often but I felt the need to do so tonight. Thepresentation and flavor of this "soup" was so bizarre and unpleasant I felt the need to warn people about ordering it. This wasour first time trying Thai Soon Restaurant, and it may also be our last. Read more

This is a small traditional place, as authentic as it gets, it’s very down to earth. Prices are extremely good, lunch/ dinner... entrees can be $11/$14, and they have all the traditional Thai dishes and appetizers. The server was extremely nice, and foodwas fresh, tasty and good portioned. They have restrooms, and parking is available both at the front and the back. it’s on thesmaller side they have about 10 tables, but I can fit small and large parties (up 6 or so) but the space is limited so Irecommend you make a reservation. Traveled from Houston TX and so happy I found this hidden gem in close proximity to surrounding hotels in Dallas Park... Central. 1. Lovely atmosphere 2. Excellent customer service 3. The food quality and portions ???? 4. It was so good I went back4hours later and ordered more food for the road trip home. I couldn't stop thinking about it when we finished lunch and wentback to our business training. 5. It was not crowded, easy to park wooden polished tables clean. 6. Vegan friendly options, they worked with us and removed eggs ???? from rice ???? ????. They are very flexible with substitutions. 7. Told me the historyof the art I was admiring. 8. Ordred crispy spring rolls, fried rice with onions and Eggplant ???? curry no rice extra eggplantno ????. That food was BAE ???? Love this quaint Thai restaurant. I've had everything on the menu at least 2-3 times over the years but am just now writing a... review. Food is so authentic and full of depth, texture and is exciting to eat. We love real Thai food and there are very fewplaces in DFW that make it properly. Portions are generous, service is friendly and accommodating, and they aim to please. It's family owned and has been around since the 80's! On this visit we ordered spicy eggplant with shrimp, minced chicken Thaibasil, and tom ka seafood. Their tom ka and tom yum are the best in DFW! Perfect balance of flavors wheres most other placesit's too salty, too sour or lacks depth. I've honestly never had anything bad on the menu. Good idea to read the description ofthe food or ask questions if you need clarification or are not very familiar with Thai cuisine. Ex: their orange chicken is NOTgoing to taste or look like Chinese orange chicken. But I guess some people think all Asians have the same dishes ??????? Read more
