Picked Edith's to stop at while hunting Pokemon. The restaurant was clean and spacious, and the staff attentive. ... Unfortunately, due to various issues several menu items were unavailable (including pastrys as a whole) so I got a French Dip. The sandwich was well made, bread wonderfully flaky and absorbent. They were out of the usual soup that pairs with it, but asFrench Onion Soup is actually my favorite it didn't bother me at all to sub it in. Also, the fries were fantastic. My favoriteplace to sate a frie craving used to be Wendy's, but since they changed their recipe that is no longer the case. Edith's friesremind of that old Wendy's flavor but more. More potatoe, more pepper, just more. I will likely stop in again next month afterthey've had some more time to train staff refresh their supplies. Still want to try pastries. Read more

Took my family and a couple of friends to dinner at Edith?s. We love the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere there. We ordered the... escargot, grilled oysters, truffle fries, beef fillet mignon, pan fried flounder, the salmon, a beef pasta and more. Every dishwas excellent (we all shared) AND the food came up relatively fast too! The chef courteously greeted us and it was fun to learnthat he has a delightful sense of humor! Not sure what?s up with unfavorable reviews from before. Having dined in dozens ofFrench restaurants across Europe, US, Asia & Australia I would rate Edith?s amongst my top 5. The 5 star here is thusunderrated. I rarely post reviews, but this time it would be too selfish for me to not share this neighborhood gem!! Read more

We like coming to Edith's, the food is good and the people are nice, but a few things are consistently an issue when we come... (and became even worse under "new management"). 1. Extremely slow service. It shouldn't take an hour to get our food. If aplace is short staffed and wants to keep operating, they should have limited seating and limited menu items. We were brought ourorder 45 minutes later and only half the order was correct. So much less of a struggle for the staff. 2. Staff training. Weended up eating the wrong order since we didn't want to wait another hour, and then the CORRECT order was brought out when wewere finished.... No communication between the front and back of house. I also ordered a French 75 which I never received, wasmost likely forgotten about straight away. Our check was also incorrect and I had to go find someone to adjust it. 3.Professionalism. Staff were standing around behind the bar doing nothing while there were at least 5 other empty and dirtytables that needed to be bussed. Some of the same tables were not bussed by the time we left an hour later. The bar was filthy, with towels, glasses, cleaning stuff scattered everywhere. Sorry, but there is no excuse for a lack of professionalism and thatultimately falls back on management. I live walking distance from Edith's and we like coming here, but we will not go back norrecommend Edith's if this is how it continues to be, this is completely unacceptable. As a restaurant manager myself, I'd loveto see this place succeed, the food is good and the space is really cute, so I really hope that they can properly train theirstaff and find some structure here. This place is hands down the best I have found in Richardson. Went there the first time about two weeks ago and it was so great... I had to go back this past weekend. The restaurant itself is just about the cutest I've ever seen, the food is good enough tospur a happy dance, drinks are great and reasonably priced, service was beyond amazing (thank you Elliott and Logan!). I cannotrecommend this place highly enough, go check it out, you won't regret it! Read more

I have to say that I'm really impressed with this place. We went for 2 major holidays and while there were a few hiccups, the... service more than made up for it. Mother's Day obviously gets really busy at a lot of places. It seemed that maybe they gotshort staffed. We ended up waiting a very long time for our food and I was worried that my 3 year old would meltdown. Here'swhat set Edith's apart: 1. They brought my each of my kids a bowl of fresh fruit to help hold them over since the kitchen was sobacked up. 2. They brought me (mama) a nice size extra mimosa as a sorry. 3. When the food did get there, it was PERFECT andabsolutely delicious. A lot of places rushing don't still put the quality into their food. 4. They took some money off the billto make it right (we hadn't even complained, just knowing what a busy day it was) which I think is VERY classy of them. 5. Evenafter all that, they insisted on me picking a few pastries to take home for free. That kind of quality and service is what willbring us back again, even though my Mothers Day brunch did not go as expected. I want to thank them for taking care of us aswell as the excellent food. The steak and eggs were delicious and perfectly cooked, my shrimp crepe was awesome, and of coursethe kids loved the French toast. All I ask is that one day they actually have the quiche available! :) Read more

Perfect out door patio on corner of Cityline. Appx 6 mins before I was approached to be seated, even though I was the only... person at the hostess stand. Another 10mins before my seated table was cleaned and my drink order was taken. I will note thatI only see four employees, so i will assume they are short staffed. I ordered the Raclette, which they did not have the cheesesauce that goes on it. Read more

We decided to come here (Richardson location) because we drove past it yesterday and since we love the Allen location so much,... let?s try this place for an early Father?s Day lunch for my husband today! Ambiance was great. Beautiful and clean. It wasn?tbusy because we got here around 2pm. Hostess wasn?t at the stand, but we were greeted after 3 minutes of standing there. Nobiggie at all; then we sat down not long after. She got us water. ???? Now we have time to look at menu and prepare to orderdrinks and meals. Server (J??.) came about 15 minutes later and just asked us if we were going to order anything else otherthan water. Yes, we order 2 spicy Bloody Marys and two orders of Croque Madame, one with sweet potato fries and the other withtomato basil soup. Spicy Bloody Mary = delicious and well done ???????? Croque Madame = fantastic as always. Sweet PotatoFries = felt light and it was really tasty. Tomato basil soup = laughable. It was not warm and tasted watery. If you love tomatobasil, then you know what it should taste like. This was awful. We waited and tried to get our server?s attention, but she wasbusy cleaning glassware, so my husband took the soup up to her and asked ?can you they warm the soup up? It?s cold.? Our servercame back with the soup, but doesn?t say anything. You?d think the soup would taste better, but it?s slightly warmer and withan extra dollop of possibly heavy cream or thick sour cream on top that wasn?t there before. Husband tried the soup and said, ?Idon?t know how something can taste worse than it did before.? Not gonna lie, that?s pretty funny. I placed it aside and we bothfinished our meal. Thought maybe I should tell someone that the soup wasn?t edible, so I did when I asked for a Moscow mule(this was really good btw) and for our check. She just took the soup and said nothing. Nothing! Husband and I have been servers,so we?re used to asking customers if they want something else in place of it. Mind you, we only had Read more
