I've never been to the place that was here before, so this is a nostalgia free review. After living overseas, I love middle... eastern / Mediterranean food and always try to find a good place to eat when I'm in Richardson. A lot of the highly rated placeshave smaller menus, which is great if you like all of the food from a specific country, but if you're with some pickier eatersit's not as great. Another time and place has a fantastic menu, with something for everyone. Turkish coffee looked good, appletea was exactly as I had it in Istanbul. Hummus is fresh and plentiful, with lots of bread and some excellent side spice. Gyroslook clean and fresh. Kebab is exquisite, with great flavor. Lamb is perfectly cooked, salad is refreshing. We went on a Sunday evening and it wasn't busy at all which I was surprised but apparently they had a buffet earlier and that's... when it gets really busy. It was great food and even better service. The manager Rena was super nice. My friend was tryingTurkish food for the first time and she made sure he has a good experience. Very friendly. Very impressed and definitely will begoing back. A lovely little out of the way place. The staff were very friendly and had us try one of their teas. While the tea wasn?t one... I?d normally enjoy my mother appreciated it greatly and I enjoyed the experience. The baklava was wonderful. Read more
This was a pretty cool experience. They have a Mediterranean buffet. There were several vegetarian options which I really... appreciated. They have this stuffed zucchini which is fantastic! When we arrived at 11 they were not ready for customers, eventhough they open at 11. But we were able to get drinks and sit down. They were ready within 10 minutes so it really was not anissue. But it is worth bringing up. Everything that I tasted was fantastic. They have cheese sticks, zucchini wraps, ricepilaf, and several other vegan or vegetarian options. I was able to have a full plate and keep it entirely vegetarian. And I wasfull when I was done. The only downfall I could find was that the floors were sticky.
