Reviews for Adventures Restaurant & Pub in Rice Lake, WI
Our waitress was super helpful when I told her I was just advised that day to omit gluten, dairy, and sugar from diet for a few... weeks. She showed me many options and was just overall a pleasant person. She turned a rough day into a good evening. We don'tgo out a lot but when we do, Adventures is becoming our go to place. Read more
Beautiful atmosphere! We sat at the bar and they had nice wooden stools. Very sturdy. We were on our way to MN and decided we... needed a break so we stopped here and had a margarita and chips w/ salsa. Ill definitely stop here again! Read more
Great variety of menu items. Several beers on tap. They fill taps from bottom up! A bit expensive. Great service.
The food is average at best with your expected fair of seasonal variants made even blander by sub par ingredients bought in... bulk. That said there is something for everyone and the portions are acceptable. Drinks are average with typical northernwisconsin options. The atmosphere is nice enough and everything appears clean. Having eaten at Adventures multiple times, itsbest quality is its consistency. You won't be amazed by Adventures but you also won't be disappointed. Like nearly all foodestablishments during this pandemic, they suffer from a lack of experienced staff but we are hoping this will resolve itself astime goes on. Read more
This place was ok. The beer selection, fried cheese curds, and bread pudding were good, but the meals were underwhelming. I had... the bison burger and it was dry and a bit too gamey. Wife had the fried fish. The fish was good but the breading was a bitsoggy. I?d try the grilled fish next time. Read more
Service was absolutely exceptional. I couldn't get over how friendly and helpful every single employee was. We would come back... for the service alone. It was really great. The food was delicious. Deserts are huge and oh so good. The fudge turtle cake is achocolate lover's dream. I really liked that it was just perfectly lightly sweetened. Most deserts are sugar bombs, but this onewas perfect. Just the right sweetness and not overwhelming at all. The burgers were on the dry side and although they were verygood they really paled in comparison to the deserts. The hot smashed baby red potatoes were really delicious I just wish therehad been a bit more of that wonderful cream on top. One thing I really liked was getting a fresh glass with a fresh lemon wedgewhen the waitress refilled our water. It was just something a little extra special that I noticed. The entire restaurant wassparkling clean too which we appreciated very much. Overall the experience was excellent. We will definitely be back whenever weget back to the area. Read more
I placed a takeout order today; the salads and corn chowder were delicious (as always). Other menu favorites in my house include... burgers, Friday night fish fry, and the wild rice meatloaf. Staff is always friendly. The restaurant is one of my favorite localplaces--so cozy and comfortable. My out-of-state parents and in-laws always request an Adventures meal and beer flight when theyare visiting. Read more
The service was excellent, very prompt friendly and attentive. I had a burger and it was good. There were lots of menu options... and tons of beers on tap. Definitely would try it again. The atmosphere was a unique combination of a sports bar and grill and acabin in the woods. It was interesting and fun. The chairs and table I was sat at were comfortable and I had no problems there.
