The service was impeccable. I'd like to thank Mathew, one of the servers in this location for a very great dinning experience... last night. He was very caring and truly did make my mother and I's dinning experience last night comfortable. He's a goodserver and really did his best, I rate him 10/10 and I would recommend. The food was good also, I liked the quarter chickenfestive meal I had, the skin was nice and crisp and the dark meat was tender and flavorful. Took my parents out for dinner and they wanted Swiss Chalet. There is a reason the restaurant is empty these days. Dine In:... Extremely slow service. From order to receiving food it took 50min. Chicken leg was the size of the bun. Dipping saucecold. Take out order: Was not placed. Left without bringing food home for spouse. Was not going to wait another 50min. Go toNandos. Or anywhere else. Normally I like Swiss Chalets, and usually they are a 4 star MINIMUM; however this locations service left a bad taste in my... stomach. 1. They didn't have wet naps or sanitizer 2. The server forgot the dinner roll for my wife, a spoon for my son's rice,they brought water with ice when we asked for without 3. They overcharged me on the bill for my beer. Now, I wouldn't normallygive a place a bad rating just for what I've listed so far, but what really upset me and my dining experience was everytime thewaitress (older lady with a nose ring and short hair) kept reminding me how great a service she was giving and hinting at us togive her a big tip. That, sadly was not appreciated. I don't mind mediocre service given the food tastes good. But I don't likehaving a guilt trip sitting over my head while dinning in over a tip, and I hadn't even started eating my food. And besides theservice wasn't that great anyway. This location hasn?t let me down, well, most of the time. Today I tried the Nashville Hot Crispy Chicken sandwich with a scoop... of ice cream on top. Yes, you heard me right?ice cream on spicy chicken, in a bun! It was..interesting, to say the least. Youget that nice, spicy chicken flavour, a beautiful crunch to it I might add, and a blast of savoury with the ice cream. Surprisingly, the bun didn?t get soggy, although the sandwich does get a little messy to eat as the ice cream starts melting anddripping all over your hands. The ice cream itself was nothing to write home about. It?s the same stuff you get in any grocerystore. That was a letdown. All in all, if you?re an adventurous person when it comes to food, it was worth trying. Will I haveit again? Probably not. Our waitress was friendly but got the drink orders wrong for some of our party. She appeared distracted and even at one point... she got into a verbal argument with another waitress because she was working the other girls table. The service we receivedcould of been a lot better and more efficient. She even walked past me while I was seated and bumped me with zero acknowledgmentnor apologized. Food was hot and fresh. Tasted great. Chicken was juicy. Only thing I?d suggest is if I order online 3 hours in advance that I?d... expect to not wait 20 mins over the time requested for my meal. The price was good and service was friendly. Read more
