Went to Tookes for the second time this year. Their food has changed some. They smoke the meat really well but it still needs... more seasoning. I will say they give you enough food for what you pay. The sides were the best thing I've tasted in awhile,especially the mac and cheese. Read more
This is quite unlike any other restaurant I've been to. It's VERY rustic, VERY old fashioned. But the food is excellent and the... former owner, Mr. Tooke, is a cool guy too. If you're in the mood for ribs, this is not a bad place at all. Read more
It's ok... my chicken wasn't as tender as I'd expect for "smoked." The macaroni and cheese was salty. The collards had a sweet... tang but a little hot sauce helps. The ribs were ok though. Portion was adequate. Underwhelming. Overall I prefer BBQ Master's particularly for the chicken and sides. Read more
This is a small place very old on the inside and outside. The guy in the back was smoking (vaping) while making food. The food... was good not great but good. The Mac and cheese could be better. A friend or two told me that the food was great, so I went to try it. It was ok but could have been better. The pulled pork... was chopped undercooked pork, the baked beans was out of the can, the Mac was bland , potatoe salad was runny.
