Ordered the seasonal ?Jack o lantern? Bowl which is pumpkin themed flavors (pumpkin spice, pumpkin butter, pumpkin flax granola)... over açaí and with bananas. Easily added plant vanilla protein (to make more filling/hearty) and coconut which I highlyrecommend. Delicious food and quick service. Cute location and super convenient if staying at Hyatt Regency in Reston! Read more

Highly disappointed with this location. Was there on Sunday and waited 30 min for one coconut bowl. I saw people order at the... register after me receive their bowls within 5-10 min. I asked for my bowl twice and still waited 30 minutes. At first they saidI had only ordered it 10 min ago then when they handed it to me it was someone else?s order. The employee attempted to searchagain and my order was in their fridge. Either way when I walked to my car it was melted. At no point did anyone call my nameyet I asked for it twice. I am generally very patient but there were 6 employees there and only 2 were consistently makingbowls while another two cutting fruit, one on her phone at the register and another came out from the back to chat with therest. My pura vida bowl was AMAZING!!!! only downside was that of the workers are very unprofessional. I am aware that this is just a... acai bowl place, but this was extensive. They were snapchatting while customers orders were being taken and it even includedsome of the customers in the photos as well. They didn?t great customers, and continued with unnecessary conversations amongstthemselves even while taking orders?? The girls were one dirty blond and a brunette. Management needs to discuss this with issuewith her. Read more

Poor customer service and very slow. I ordered a smoothie as they didn?t have any juices. My juice sat on the side for a long... time as they got my name wrong. I waited 30 min for a smoothie and there were definitely items missing from the smoothly. Thinkthey need more experienced staff and some manager presence. Read more

I?ve had some issues in the past with ordering from here. I?ve gotten wrong orders multiple times (containing products I am... allergic too). Today I received this, the black thing is supposed to be mint I assume, and the rest of it is wrong as well. Whenthe orders are right the place is good, but too often they?re not. Read more

If you ever want to know what an oligarchy run by disaffected teenage girls would look like, make sure to stop by this... place. My tween loves smoothie bowls, so therefore I?m forced to come to the Reston location every so often. So far the bowlshave been fresh, which is why I?m putting two stars instead of one. But every review you read about the girls working here istrue. On phones in the back texting or chatting with each other, taking forever to fill orders even if there aren?t many peoplewaiting. Teen girls who walk in get orders before waiting customers (witnessed this more than once). Someone in our party didn?tget their order, and when it was pointed out, the head teen went into the back and came out to say one of the workers claimed tohave made it and had already given it to us (uh? no). So we had to wait even longer, but I?m thankful we were believed at least, considering the level of apathy (or incompetence) here. Would not recommend. Go to a nearby Tropical Smoothie place instead. I have become addicted to Playa?s refreshing bowls! My favorite is the Nutella açai bowl. You can split the base and do... half-and-half with two different flavors. Read more

You know a place serves real deal freshness when you walk in and the first thing you notice is the line of fresh pineapples... sitting on top of the counter, of which every so often a worker walks around to grab one to cut up and use in the smoothies/bowls! Yes, I?m talking about Playa Bowls here if you didn?t catch that. I went here twice during my week and a half visit toReston/ DC area (oops). I?m normally a person that prides myself on trying a new place to eat each meal when I?m on vacation orjust somewhere that?s not home, but Playa forced me to break that rule (maybe not really but just imagine with me). Theirsmoothie bowls are SO fresh. And you can mix more than one base! I always love that addition, and of course there are dozens offresh add-ins to choose from, all of which will create a fantastic party in the mouth charade. I also tried their special peanutbutter coffee smoothie thing and wow. It was packed with flavor, filling, and just how it was described: PERFECTION! From thegroovy surfer tropical setup of the store to the amazingly fresh ingredients and final product to the great service, I have nobad words, only these: Go go go!! Read more
