Reviews for Wild Garlic Chinese Restaurant in Renton, WA
My daughter and I were in Seattle for the weekend, we were looking for a place for some decent Chinese food but were highly... skeptical as the restaurants are so often hit and miss. We came across this place and decided to chance it and it wasoutstanding!! The food was absolutely delicious and was nothing short of spectacular. Salt and pepper squid, best i have had inthe usa, hands down, Moo goo guy pang was delicious, prawns with water chestnuts and sauce, everything was just phenomenal. Icould not recommend this place enough. If I lived there it would absolutely be our go-to Read more
Food was okay but not that tasty. Garlic Chicken didn?t taste like garlic.
We got the individual dinners A and B. A came with Mongolian beef which I definitely love and will go back for and B came with... sweet and sour chicken. I will definitely be going back and wana try some honey walnut shrimp lol Read more
Very tasty Chinese takeout, had the orange chicken and the bbq pork fried rice. The sesame chicken was a little too sweet for... our taste but the rest of it was very good. Read more
Beef tenderloin is too salty also the front desk guy doesn't listen and was in hurry when it's not busy. Requested spicy in... every dish ordered but it has bland taste. Overall food is worst. Update: I would give -ve stars but it's not letting me. Aftereating it by evening both me and my wife had stomachache. I would never go to this restaurant again. Read more

Food deserves a 5 out of 5, really. The honey walnut prawns are just right, tender not chewy or overly sweet, the beef chow ho... fun is amazing with noodles firm but again chewy and sprouts are generously added, the bbq spare ribs sauce is a bit on thesweet side but these are cooked just so perfectly and flavored so well that being extra sweet is not an issue, and thetraditional soups, if you can get them, are worth it whether finely cut tofu or fish maw, WOW! The only reason I drop it to a 4(4.5 if I could) is what can be a teachable experience and reminder for me on the realities of human shortcomings and that?sthat my housemate and I sat for a half hour seated but unserved. At no point did the only server/host and yes certainlyoverworked and understaffed ask if we wanted a glass of water or appetizer while waiting for a third party. However, when afamily was seated after us, they had an introduction, beverages and at least some entrees served before our party had evenarrived. Am I under suspicion that it?s because perhaps of my appearance in relation to all others there, yes, because she evenseemed reluctant to take my card at the end of the meal like she was expecting it from my counterparts. However, it?s a reminderthat we are all capable of giving and being the recipient of prejudice. Such a shame, but glad I was reminded of what othersface far more frequently than I as it truly impacts the dining out experience. Regardless of this one off, I recommend to anyonelooking to eat worthwhile Chinese food, patron and be generous with Wild Garlic. The food scene in the vicinity isn?t great butthe ownership team at Wild Garlic even in the midst of one server/host managing all tables and to go orders *which is exhaustingand commendable* brings greatness to the table.
