Reviews for The Sandwich Spot in Reno, NV
My sister has raved about your sandwich shop for awhile now. I live in Southern California and was finally about to stop in on... my way home from a visit here. Your sandwich was absolutely delicious! With the first bite I knew it was different than mostdeli style sandwiches. Everything about it was awesome. I especially loved the turkey meat and the bread. She also told meabout buying sourdough bread rolls to finish baking at home. I am glad I did that because it had the authentic sourdoughflavor. Great food and great staff makes it a perfect spot! I was pleasantly surprised to find out you have a location inNewbury Park. A friend of mine lives nearby that location. Her roommate said your sandwiches there are great! I look forwardto spreading the news about both locations! Read more
The last couple weeks my work has been ordering catering trays for the sales team from this restaurant. Let me start by saying I... am a sandwich freak. I believe the sandwich happens to be the most effective calorie delivery device while still being able totaste and enjoy your meal. That being said, where do we all start when eating a sandwich? The Bread. My experience with theirbread has been excellent. I prefer sourdough but have not been let down by any of their rolls. Crust has substance but is stillsoft and the inside is like a firm pillow supporting the fillings. On that note, the condiments and veggies are super fresh andI like how they cut the meat a little thicker. I generally prefer my meat so thin it shreds. The thickness here doesn't botherme. The cheese is well, cheese. There's no Gouda or Havarti on the menu but now I'm just being picky. All in all if you'relooking for a great sandwich with fresh ingredients and bread that is on point, Sandwich spot is your kind of joint. Read more
Word sandwich I?ve ever had? I never write reviews, but this just simply sucked. I built my own sandwich and asked for it cold,... however I didn?t realize until I was almost home that they gave me a hot sandwich, at least the Turkey was. The Turkey meat wassuper slimy and my sandwich literally had zero taste. The lettuce was also turning bad. It was disgusting and I couldn?t eveneat 2 bites. Huge bummer as this was my first time. I?m not picky whatsoever but had to share that this was a complete waste of$15. I?m sure some of the sandwiches are good there but come on, they had to have known the sandwich would be disgusting withrotting lettuce and horrible Turkey? Read more
I waited too long to try this place! I got the #18 and it was everything I could ever hope for in a sandwich. The staff were... great too and very quick to remedy a mixup we had with ordering. I highly recommend you grab some napkins if you're taking yourorder to go. You're gonna need them Read more
A fancy sandwich. Instead of iceberg Lettuce they use a spring mix and instead of regular tomato they use the multicolored... cherries. The food was very good and the customer service was great. Only 4 stars as they had put my cheese on the othersandwich. Read more
One of the foodie groups I'm part of on Facebook has shared several suggestions to try this place. I stopped in yesterday and... ordered 'The 775'. When I got home, the scent of fresh-baked bread permeated through my car. This was large in-part to one ofthe employees telling me that I was getting fresh bread with my order. When I opened up the wrapping, I couldn't wait to sink myteeth into the sandwich. It's safe to say that not only was everything fresh but the sandwich was so good that I will be back totry another one. Thank you for delivering an incredible item for Northern Nevada to enjoy. See you soon. Read more
OMG pictures don't do these sandwiches justice! My friend and I came here for lunch and both of our sandwiches were huge. And... yes we did our Yelp research before we came here and the images are a lie. If you zoom into the image then it's a little moreaccurate. The Odin son sandwich is huge and delicious. I had mine with the Dutch crunch bread which taste a little like butterygarlic knots bread. The bread doesn't have any garlic but the taste reminded me of garlic knots. The one bad thing about thebread is that it's like eating captain crunch without liquid, it will hurt the roof of your mouth if your not careful, but it'swell worth the pain. The buttery bread from the Dutch crunch mixes well with The Odin son and it's robust flavors of HotPastrami, Roast Beef, Salami & Swiss Cheese. I had their secrete sauce along with all their toppings and it just made thissandwich. This is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. But what made it even better was the amazingly friendly servicefrom the staff and manager. Even tho COVID has made going out to eat slightly awkward, the staff made it a pleasure. The guythat greeted us was super friendly and helped me and my friend figure out what type of sandwich we needed to try. After wepicked our meals, what I think was the owner (a big bearded muscular guy) had a friendly conversation with us while we waited. We appreciated the conversation and felt very welcomed. The guy that took our order offered us to try one of their sauces withour sandwiches, I had the Teriyaki BBQ sauce on the side and man was it amazing! My friend had the Jalapeno ranch sauce, he saidhe never tasted that before. This is truly the sandwich spot and it has some seriously different sandwiches. It's a must stopif you are passing threw or you just need a serious sandwich that is going to fill you up. The only thing I didn't like was thechocolate chip cookies, they were way too dry and hard. But I didn't come here for the cookies. You won't ju Read more
The Sandwich Spot is my favorite sandwich place from my prior place of residence. This location carries on the same tradition of... great food and service. I really didn't care for the Unitarian interior. Still it's a sandwich shop so who cares ???? Read more
