Fresh food and reasonably priced. Carne Asada had good flavor, which is often lacking at many places.
Bad case of food poisoning; food tastes fine. I was excited on my way through Reno to see a place that served chilaquiles on my... route, so I stopped in the morning of October 7th 2022. The food itself tasted fine, but by the middle of the afternoon I knewsomething was wrong in Elko. By the evening in Salt Lake City, I was diagnosed with food poisoning and spent the whole nightextremely sick (in all the ways possible). I was unable to eat much again for two more days. I attempted to stop in on my wayback through a few weeks later and notify the manager what had happened, but the employee I spoke with just blew me off with asarcastic smile and a "sorry". Their food is good overall, but there's a lot of oil on their tacos and burritos. Prices are fair and they make the food in a... timely manner. Read more
This is my favorite taqueria in reno. Im from Sacramento, but everytime I'm working in Reno I like to enjoy some quesabirrias... and some hibiscus water. Great costumer service as well. Read more
We HAD been coming here 4 over 14 + years. Unfortunately for Tacos El Rey they will never have our business again. Such a... disappointment they have terrible customer service skills and do not use high quality foods . My family is highly allergic toavocado and this is not the first time Tacos El Rey made our family sick. This happened again and we were unable to eat ourdinner b/c the cook and front didn't communicate + thus did not leave the avocado off. This will be our last time you make mifamilia sick! I suggest to you not to ever go here because you can't trust a shady business. Claudia stated that I could comeback tomorrow bc we live 45 minutes from restaurant to refund. I came back the next day. The rude girl only gave me 17$ in cashback and not what we discussed last night. Claudia stated she would fix the entire situation. She also pushed the 30% tip buttonand tipped HERSELF $7!! 30% TIP 2 PEOPLE THAT POISON MY FAMILY. I don't think so. Today the chica working the counter didn'trespect us at all and was rude. Ordene una torta de asada y la pedi especial, con mas vejetales y con aguacate, me cobraron extra por el aguacate y no me... pusieron aguacate en la torta y tenia muy poquita lechuga. Si ordenan en esta locasion en west reno cheken sus ordenes porquelas acen incompletas. I order an asada torta and i asked to have more vegetables including avocado witch i paid extra for it, when i was eating the torta when i arrived at my destination i found out it had very little lettuce and no avocado to be foundand got charged for it. If you go to this location please check your order before you leave. Also the tortas are small. Don't recomended if you have an appetite. Read more

Everyone... loved it, the price was good, and the ladies were very nice and helpful at the store. The Mgr Chris did a great job giving medirection on the logistics of the whole deal. Read more
