I loved it in the past, it seems as time goes on the food quality is not so good anymore. I got the taco bravo meal and as... always potato ones with cheese are amazing, but the taco was soggy and the topping were wilted. I honestly took a bite and threwit away to finish out the potato oles. Hopefully it gets better its the only one Read more
Excellent food, large variety, and fresh ingredients. Large portions, especially the potato oles'. 1,2,3, dollar value items.... Friendly staff. Skip taco hell and the dumb bell, and go here instead. Read more
Taco Johns is one of my favorite lunch time venues along the Wells Avenue corridor! Opening at 7am Monday through Saturday (I... forgot to ask about Sunday) and open until 10pm. Indoor seating has been open since the 2nd Covid boosters were given. Staffstill wears masks & protected shields are in place at the ordering counter. Additionally, the drive through has a steady flowof customers. That being said, wait time can be less if one is able to take ones lunch at 11 or 11:30 & avoid "crunchtimes" Personally, I haven't witnessed any customer in line more than 10 to 15 minutes Max! (During crunch times). Usually, 5minutes is average due to the diligence of both management & staff alike. Customer service is top notch ????. This store iswell maintained, clean & the menu is deep enough to satisfy all. Myself, I appreciate the daily specials. Tuesday is "TacoTuesday" with regular beef ???? are still 99 cents!???? Wednesday is combination burritos at $1.79, Thursday is Taco Bravo at$1.99 & Friday (my Fav) is soft shell chicken tacos at $1.79! For the entire weekend regular beef Taco are $1.29!...Theseprices are the same as before Covid, no increases to the customer. Speciality taco salads, street tacos & meal combos are allavailable at moderately low prices. Inside seating is usually 24 or less, either at tables or booths. Restrooms are availablefor customers! Disabled parking & access is available to those needing them. A family friendly atmosphere is maintained &/or ToGo orders. New to me was the phoned in order guidelines I saw by the cashiers, TJ's own curbside pickup! Now it is allowed forcustomers to TIP these EE's as one sees fit. Soda drinks,, coffee/coffee drinks & orange juice are available. Read more
Take it for what it is. Basic crispy tacos, bean burrito, Potato Oles, the Taco Bravo, all excellent. Food is flawlessly served... hot and well prepared. Employees are exceedingly friendly. But you have to stick to the basics. Chicken strips and streettacos? Not so good. Read more
I really like Taco Johns but my last visit had a few inconveniences that all added up. I didn't really care for their selection... of drinks, some of the drink choices were unavailable and the tea was just water... the potato crisps were cooked perfectly, butthey were wayyy too salty! Then there was a lot of liquid at the bottom of my burrito (not sauce), maybe they rinsed the lettucebut didn't shake the excess water from it or something. It was ok but I'm hoping my next visit is better. Read more
