I grew up in Sacramento, CA in the 60s and 70s where my family’s favorite Chinese restaurant was Frank Fat’s, a legendary... Sacramento dinner house run by a prominent Sacramento family. Every dish I’ve had at Shanghai Bistro in Reno takes me back tothe great family dinners I had at Frank Fat’s. This place was awesome! We stuck to the specials and were impressed by everything we ordered! The fish in wine with wood eat... mushrooms was a standout, as was the lions head meatball. Some real skill by the chef. Wish we could go back but sadly justpassing through Reno! Read more
Excellent food. Friendly staff and excellent dishes. Order off the chef’s special section. Chef has an interesting story from... past work experience in China. He used to cook for high level dignitaries. We ordered an assortment of dishes but our favoritewas the steamed shrimp in garlic. If you’re a garlic and shrimp lover you will like this dish. Read more
