Oh. My. God. Definitely recommend! You HAVE to have dinner here if you'll be staying in Reno! It is SO delicious and the... quality of food and service is outstanding! Definitely make a reservation on OpenTable as seating is limited for a higher dinein experience. Service is amazing with many people checking in on us without being too much. Drinks were pretty great too! Read more

This place deserves more stars. From start to finish, La Famiglia is a slam-dunk. Prepare yourself for a fantastic dining... experience set in the perfect atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and can guide you through your meal if youwant some help. I highly recommend the Beef Carpaccio to start, as well as the Mushroom Truffle Saccheti as a main course - itis very well balanced and quite exquisite. Some Sangiovese during the meal never hurts, either. I also had one of theircocktails after which had Liquor 43, espresso, and an expressed-orange peel which was absolutely incredible. La Famiglia makesme wish I lived in Reno or had the opportunity to visit more often, because the entire experience is just so good. Read more

My favorite so far is the Truffle Mushroom Sacchetti! It made me forget about my problems literally! It just melts in my mouth... and it was very delicious. The only thing about this place is that they open for dinner and may need to reserve a table inadvance but service was excellent so is the food. Amazing pasta and salad!. Read more

Overall, a nice place. Some hits and misses, but a comfortable vibe overall. We came on a Friday night at around 7:30 PM for... context. The restaurant was maybe three-fourths full and fluctuated throughout the night. Service: Service varied depending onwho came by the table. When we got in, it took a while for the first person taking our order to actually get our order in. Wewere able to get a wine sample, which took a while to get to us as well. Another server took her place and he was a lot moreattentive with water, complimentary bread, and just coming by to check on us. When he wasn't around, there were at least twoother people refilling our waters or asking us if we needed anything. I actually did get the sense that the wait staff helpedeach other out a lot, which was refreshing to see. I think the owner stopped by to ask how the food was as well. Toward the end, another of the wait staff came by to pick up some of our plates, but I wasn't quick enough to tell him not to take away some ofthe plates that had some food still on them. I thought it was a bit hasty on his part to take them without asking, but they werereasonably cleaned off, so not too big a deal. Just surprising. Value: I thought the food was amazing. I don't frequent Italianrestaurants a lot, but my partner who does said the food was decent, but not the best. She said it was very good for the pricepoint, though. I think this restaurant was on the higher side of casual or lower side of fancy (the interior was very nice, tastefully decorated with folded napkins and wine bottles, casual/relaxing music, but they also let me eat there wearing shortsand a hoodie). Prices on the website and on their in-store menu varied a bit, with the in-store menu being slightly moreexpensive (and most updated). We got a decently portioned house salad [della casa] ($8), lamb shank special ($33), linguinevongole ($25), and a small slice of tiramisu ($9). Food quality and impressions: -Salad: the cranberries Read more

We stopped in for dinner early on a Friday evening and managed to get a table. We had visited previously and enjoyed the... experience and this time was just as great. While the establishment is smaller, the cozy Italian restaurant vibe is reallyamazing. Service was snappy and we always had one or more of the staff looking after our table even as the restaurant movedinto full dinner service. Our dishes were excellent as expected. The menu has a good balance of options for nearly anygroup. My only caution is the price which was a little higher than a typical Italian restaurant but this is really fine diningand in my opinion worth the premium price. Great food, great service, great experience. Read more
