I have eaten at all of the Reno Dickey's many, many times in the past years the restaurants have been open. Sadly I feel the... hayday for the chain has come and gone. I picked up a Chopped Brisket sandwich and onion tanglers for a side. When I got homeand looked at the sandwich the meat looked sad. It had the texture of meat that has been sitting on a steam table for hours.There is no telltale pink/red ring indicating the meat has been smoked, and I can't taste any smoke flavor in the meat. Thebrisket is supposed to be chopped and it is more like chunks. When you walk into the restaurant there's also no telltale smokesmell present (as in the past). I would give no stars if I could. I paid to cater a party for 30 people for a surprise birthday party for my husband. I had... pick up time for 3:20-3:30 pm for brisket. I got pulled pork. My party was started at 4pm. There was no time to make up thedifference. And when I called to day the owner said since the pulled pork was ate they are not going to do anything about it.All I wanted was the difference of the cheaper meat returned to me. I've eaten at Dickeys numerous time over the years and have enjoyed the food and the service. This time I was highly... UN-impressed. The quality was very off and the attention to detail was lacking. For example the napkin containers were empty ontwo separate tables. I understand that Covid made it difficult to find help. I did enjoy the creamed spinach side, I did notenjoy the salad side. Customer service was lacking very much here. On top of that my fiancé was eating his Saturday special brisket sandwich when he... bit into plastic wrapping. Employee speaking Spanish about me (I'm white but also speak spanish) in front of me. But why does myfood have plastic wrap inside it? First-time at the is national chain. I must say that I was quite open to see what the total experience would be. I would offer... my opinion based on the protocols and social distancing measures taken during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Service: Itseems there was only one person on the register, waiting on customers as well as cleaning the tables before and after service.My table was unclean and hadn't been serviced since the prior customer. I had to ask the waitress (one of the many hats shewore). She seemed slightly frustrated and visibly upset of her many duties. Ambiance: There was NO soap in the ba bathrooms orany bottles of hand sanitizers placed on any tables or anywhere else. None of the employees were wearing masks. The tables wereseparated to keep patrons apart. Food: Mediocre at best. It tasted sub-par and the food meats were dry and bland. Mac andCheese was somewhat edible and acceptable. This is the worst! We?ve been trying to order a Thanksgiving turkey for weeks. They keep saying they will call us back bla bla... bla.
