I was staying at the Whitney Peak Hotel for a training conference. The Whitney Cafe is on the first floor or the hotel so I... decided to go check out their happy hour while we were there. There aren't a lot of food options for happy hour but the fewthings I tried were really good. The nachos were very tasty and the diner burger was really good as well. I had fries. Over fried, greasy, small, gross. I had mussels and clams. They did not taste even remotely fresh. Very fishy and I... thought I was gonna get sick from eating. And I ordered the chicken karage which was completely inedible. Tiny, over batteredgreasy nuggets with dry tough minuscule pieces of chicken inside. Makes me queasy just thinking about my meal there. I’d nevergive this place a second chance after that experience. Yuk. Read more

We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner!???? The salmon was like butter and the steak was so delicious! ???? The wine... pairing was perfect and the service from Celeste was awesome! ???? It was truly a perfect Valentine’s day dinner and weappreciated it very much! ???? Our room was spacious and so comfortable. We slept soundly and enjoyed our stay tremendously!!!???? Many of the reviewers are right about this place. We ordered Omelette with sausages and the famous chilaquiles with chicken... tinga. The chilaquiles were out of the world good! Good portion size and absolutely delicious. The chicken tinga added excellenttaste to the chilaquiles. The omelette and sausage was equally good. The coffee and orange juice were so so. Nice ambience,decor, a huge bar and to top it all, excellent wait staff. Our waitress was pleasant and friendly. She checked in with usfrequently to make sure we had what we needed. If you are traveling via Reno or planning to visit in the near future, I woulddefinitely recommend this place for a morning breakfast. Read more
This place has excellent fresh food, in a great atmosphere , with friendly and welcoming services. Happy hour from 4 to 6pm was... great with (half priced drinks and appetizers), with nice selection of appetizers and draft beers. The mushroom risotto wasspectacular. Recommended if staying at the hotel. Read more
