Reviews for Bangkok Cuisine in Reno, NV
This is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant hands down! The curry must use coconut cream (not milk) as it is so thick and... yummy. The various noodles we have tried have been pan fried perfectly. The food has a bit of spice and it trends sweeter forthe American palates, but in a good way and balanced with savory and other flavors. We love this place! Read more
Me of my favorite places in Reno for Thai food. The prices are good, the food is delicious, and they'll make it spicy if you ask... (unlike many that don't think you really want that ?????????). The service is super friendly and the food comes outquickly. Also, they'll make trays for catering. Got lunch today for our nursing unit and they packaged it very thoughtfully(the put the panang curry pan in a bag in case it spilled in the car). Gave us plenty of plates and utensils as well. The food isn?t great and it?s a bit overpriced. I Ordered yellow curry with chicken and it tasted more like a tomato based sauce... with a kick to it. It was a deep orange color and looked nothing like yellow curry typically looks. Tasted nothing like yellowcurry either. The flavor of what they brought wasn?t bad, but when you order curry and get something totally different, it?squite disappointing. The chicken in it was overcooked. It tasted dry even though it was smothered in that tomato sauce. Thecarrots were the consistency of baby food. Not their best dish. My husband ordered beef noodles and he liked it. He said it wasvery flavorful. So, maybe try that and avoid the curry. They were a bit expensive. The two dishes we ordered came to $36without drinks or appetizers. Read more
No complaints about the food quality. However, this is the second time they goofed up the order. First time I asked for... sweet/sour sauce with my fresh rolls. NO PEANUTS since I'm allergic to them. Guess what? PEANUT sauce. Second time ordering,I told the ordering person what had happened the first time. Ordered the fresh roll with plum and sweet/sour sauce. Guesswhat? I was charged $1.50 for the sauce, and only got the sweet and sour sauce. The online menu states different prices then were charged, and also states no rice with entrees. I made rice at home. 2 containers of rice were in the order. CHECK YOURORDER WHEN YOU PICK IT UP. Read more
Lots of food places to choose from around this area on South Virginia Street. But thankfully we were in the mood for Thai... food. It was a busy Saturday night. When we checked in, we were informed it would be about a 10-15min wait to be seated. 10minlater we were seated. All of the food items we ordered were brought out in a timely manner (considering how busy they were) andcooked with attention. The temperature and flavors hit the pallet spot. Read more
This place is a Reno classic. Been getting the best Thai food (EVER) here for 30 years. Flavors beat anything in LA, San... Francisco or anywhere else. If you want the best Thai food you go here. Try the duck and the green curry. Disappointment ispractically impossible. Cozy dining atmosphere. Be patient with to-go orders. They get a lot of business! Read more
Details of this experience are mostly positive. I won't be discussing the Servers, because we are in a national shortage, they... did great. This place was poppin, we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. I would love to revisit when it's a bit slower. Thepeanut sauce is delicious. They will make dishes, if possible, for gluten free and vegetarians, although they were out of tofuthis evening. Looking forward to trying another entre. If you are heading down there, call first, might get you a table faster. Read more
Disappointed. Not authentic. HIGHLY OVER PRICED. Basil fried rice was quite sweet.. Thom yum soup ($10+2) was so small bowl good... for only one adult. We wanted spicy, looked like they sprinkled chilly flakes on top and served it like that?. No hint lemongrass flavor whatsoever.Gave me a bad acidity. The Bangkok sizzle also disappointed me in terms of price and portion. Few smallpieces of beef was floating on a sea of sauce.. Read more
