I use to go to Nick's Cafe all the time growing up haven't been in years, this morning my husband and I came for breakfast.... Front staff just grabbed menus walk over to a table without saying a word to us. We sit and order our food, get our food and itwas alright but our server couldn't even come back to see how everything was tasting, the only time we saw our server was whenshe came around with coffee, I had to ask another worker for water. I ate about half my food because my bacon was just way togreasy, and nobody ever asked if everything was okay with our food, our server just came and took our plates when we asked forthe bill. I have not been here in 5 years, I walk in and with zero greetings from the hostess. It wasn?t busy. I was sat down with a dirty... and sticky menu. I ordered the eggs benedict, something simple. The hollandaise sauce was incredibly bland. It had no rich,buttery taste with touch of lemon at all. My coffee was filled every so often, but nobody came to ask how my food was. This pooryoung girl was taking away my used plates and the dirty utensils landed in my coffee cup. (Nothing new was offered) I doapologize but this will definitely be the last time I come here. Everything was good. Hashbrowns were a little over cooked but everything else was incredible.
First time at Nikkis in a few years (no longer live in the city) the place looks great!! The service was fantastic even when the... place was BUSY!!! Rueben and the lentil soup was perfect! The food was awesome especially the crispy cubed hash brown and the coffee is always free flowing! The service was pretty... friendly at the front and cashier but servers felt a bit harried when they?ve given us the bill as we?re still trying to finishour meal. Came back several times to ask if we?re good to go when I?m still trying to wolf down my toast and took the dish i wasusing to dip my sausage in ketchup. Not sure what the hurry was when we?re surrounded by seniors also taking their time andthere?s quite a bit of empty tables around so it?s not like we?re hogging the place. Read more

In Regina for Grey Cup 109 and was looking for a spot for breakfast. Nicky?s was near us and was a good choice. Great choices on... the menu. Fast service and generous portions. The waitress was friendly and made sure our coffee cups were not empty. Read more
