10 years of eating at Five Guys all over the country and tonight I am shocked to have to write a complaint. An employee... apparently named Jose insulted me loudly today for daring to ask a small cup of ketchup so that I didn?t have to deal withopening 20 packets with my greasy fingers. He told me it?s packets or nothing and one of the nice employees squirted some intoa little cup for me and Jose loudly yelled at her in front of customers and staff that I wasn?t allowed to have anything but thepackets. I don?t often have the opportunity to go out for burgers. I am sure to ruffle some feathers but I really really like burgers... from Five Guys. Not the best value for my hard earned buck. Free peanuts is a plus. But for burgers that tastes almost the same as the burgers... from other stores, their burgers should cost less. There was also nothing special about their fries. They need to step up theirgame and improve their taste profile. Read more
10 empty tables when I walked in and everyone of them is dirty. The guys behind the counter had a hard time understanding the... need to clean the tables. And also my request for a rag so I could clean them myself. But worse than really everything else wasthe delivery of a hamburger that didn't match even the quality of the signs in the walls. For example. I asked for a burger thatwas medium rare. They should have left it juicy and tasty and not overcooked. What was delivered to me was an overcooked drything. I needed the water to go with the burger. My fingers were virtually clean after I was done with the burger. Juicy? Not inthe least. The only thing wet about the whole Burger was the condiments. The bacon that was supposed to come with my burger wasin horrible shape as well. Paper thin pieces of overcooked bacon. I just don't understand how people can go here in like thisplace. Hopefully the Five Guys crew on staff on Wednesday night is the only problem. And hopefully that can be cured with someretraining. But until that's done I recommend everyone stay away from Five Guys in downtown Redwood City. For the price you paythere is no value in the burgers as delivered. Read more
