I generally will look for a BBQ place and will go out of my way to taste a new one. This one is reasonably close to me and I... missed it until now. It's a small place with only three tables but the BBQ is BIG! Great pork ribs and brisket. You are actuallygiven a choice of how fatty you want your brisket. Pulled pork and jalapeno sausage and excellent . I have not tried the turkeybreast yet but those are the five protein choices. Side dishes are very traditional and legit . I'm a BBQ head. I look for good BBQ everywhere I go. I am born and raised in the South Bay and this place I didn't even know... about as it's very very small and on a side of town that is kind of the corner of the south bay. The Brisket is off the chain.Now you have to know how to order it. Either dry or moist which means either lean or fatty. I actually had them do half moistand half dry for my sandwich. I was beyond impressed I could find good brisket like this In Redondo Beach. I had my brisketsliced and the meat has the perfect amount of smoke, tender, moist and the spices just right. For a small take out place theseguys offer some amazing grub. I got the "Mild" sauce on the side but didn't need the BBQ Sauce. I thought the sauce ruined theBrisket. Next time I'll try their sweet sauce and Baked Beans. Either get the Plate and get the works with your brisket or getthe sandwich. I had the regular brisket sandwich and wished I had got the Jumbo. If you are getting anything other than thebrisket your just missing out. There is not a better BBQ spot in the entire south bay that's for sure. Though my rating is 4 Stars, I'd really rate it 3.5 stars if I could. The food (meats and sides) was fresh and well prepared,... however, it all lacked flavor. The brisket was super tender and the ribs fell right off the bone. The turkey was a bit dry andthe pulled pork was just shredded pork. My favorite meat was the hot link. The potato salad and baked beans were average, butthe creamed corn and cole slaw were both quite tasty. Was not impressed at all by the BBQ sauces; I tried to doctor them butultimately decided to just use my own. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd definitely go back! Though it slightly blandand lacked some flavor, I appreciate quality BBQ that isn't too salty or overly greasy. Read more

I drove out of LB to give this BBQ place a shot and I definitely dont regret the 30 min drive. The location is small and very... easy to miss if you?ve never been. When I visited, it was busy and full of people, which is always a good first impression. Thestaff was extremely friendly, and the menu was full of options ranging from regular plates with 1-2 meat options to sandwiches.There is also an array of sides that include beans, coleslaw and potato salad. The menu was very reasonably priced and the foodwas very great quality. I got the pulled pork sandwich and, rack of pork ribs. It's good! Had the beef brisket, jalapeno sausage, collard greens baked beans and cornbread. Overall good! Tried all the sauces.... Not a huge fan of the sauces... They're good not great. The cool breeze sauce does pack a punch in the mouth I do like that, butthere's some strange citrus-like taste in there that I wasn't a huge fan of... Good though...
