Reviews for South Bay Rice Things in Redondo Beach, CA
Hands down best Japanese food I?ve ever ate in my life. Now with the new management the place is also very friendly. I wish they... had their salad dressing for sakes in bottles it?s so good Read more
You?ll definitely get your moneys worth eating here. I got the 3 item combo for $16.32. I got sesame chicken, salmon teriyaki... and cali rolls. All were delicious. Definitely coming back ???? Read more
11-26-21: Came here for my first time for takeout lunch. Ordered three combos for me, my cousin and my niece. My combo included... a California roll, chicken teriyaki, and veggie tempura. Everything was good and they give you a lot of food. Service wasfriendly. Would I come back? Maybe. Not the best Japanese food that I have had. But also, not the worst. Read more
Our family has eaten here since the early 2000s and this was one of our go-to locations for cheap and delicious food. We haven?t... been here since 2019 but it seems like the taste/texture has dropped :( Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - we ordered 2 combo plate and asushi roll. The pork and chicken katsu were pretty dry and the sauce was fairly salty. The vegetable tempura surprised me sinceit?s much more American ingredients than Japanese and included items such as carrots and green bean (imagine my shock anddisappointment when I bit what I thought was a sweet potato?. but it was a carrot?!?! T_T). Recommendation to ask if you can getthe sauce on the side for chicken teriyaki since it?s a bit sweet. The chicken karaage (fried chicken) was delicious and juicywhen we first opened the box but became hard fairly quick as the food cooled. The salmon avocado roll was really good with lotsof salmon! The South Bay Firecracker Roll had a nice kick but we probably wouldn?t get again since it really is just spicy tunaon a California roll with some spiciness on top. There's not much alvocado in the either of the rolls and they were a bit wonky.Wasabi doesn't have any kick. Ambience: 3/5 - took the food to go. The restaurant only has 3-4 tables to eat at and one of thewalls was just stacked with boxes. Looks like some remodel or design has changed in the past few years Service: 5/5 - cashierwas extremely friendly and let us take our time to make our order. Her quoted time of about 15 min was on point! Value forprice: 4/5 - this place has increased in prices but it?s still very reasonable and one of the cheaper locations. Unfortunately, the quality/taste/texture has dropped Read more
Very disappointing when I visited today . I used to come here alot . Quality has gone down , chicken was dry . And I felt very... offended when I sat inside today. They have turned the Dining area into a storage room . That is not professional, dirtyfloors and walls, and distasteful. I'm sure other arrangements could have been made to store inventory. Not that hard . Justbeing lazy Read more
Amazing Japanese food for fair prices. The quality and portions are worth every penny. And it's so good I'd carry bags of... pennies to pay every time if I had to. Read more
Love this place! Their chicken katsu with a side order of curry is bomb! The side of curry costs $2 and is enough to be shared... with another person for it comes in one medium size bowl. Half of the bowl is able to cover the katsu pieces and also some ofthe rice. Very competitive prices as well for mix and match plates! Read more
Watched the girl grab 3 containers of dressing off the shelf and push them into the top of my food. Sanitary? Asked boss man if... that was normal to jam into your food....he said yes.. I was second in line at 11:30 am. Fourth or fifth to get food. I'mguessing the containers on shelf all night. Teriyaki chicken is boiled?seems like it. Should have went to yoshinoya Read more
