Absolutely love the concept. It's a walk-up ice cream shop that's busy in the evenings, but has a crazy number of flavors! There... are even a few for those with any number of food allergies. On our last trip there we made a point to stop almost every night sowe could cover their selection better! The ice cream here is really good. This is an Ohio based company....so you get true Midwestern flavors....and creamy, delicious... desserts. Yes - we also sampled the fat free /sugar free option...and it was also really good. There can be long lines....butthat just goes to show you how good it is, to garner such a loyal customer base. The ice cream was so soft that it immediately became messy ice cream soup, dripping all over clothes etc. This was our first... time to visit a Handel's. Is it always like this? We were wondering if they are cheap and trying to save energy by not fullyfreezing their product. Read more

Creamy, rich, freshly made?the way great ice cream should be! Tons of flavors that all sounded great, and the selection was... kind of overwhelming. I finally decided to get the praline pecan, and it was so freshly made that it wasn?t firm enough to stayin a cone, so I got it in a cup with a cone upside down on top. Sweet and creamy with huge pieces of pecans?yum yum yum! Longlines, but the wait is totally worth it! There were 3 windows going at the same time, so the line moved fairly quick. Read more
