When I was a kid in Connecticut, my family always went to a hibachi restaurant for special occasions... And it was called Fuji!... So it was fun to revisit my youth here. The food wasn't quite as spectacular as I remembered from my childhood, and the chef notquite as full of fun tricks, but it was still an enjoyable and tasty night out. We were seated quickly and had attentiveservice. Read more

TL;DR: Sadly, Fuji is just not good. Save your money. I like Fuji's look and feel. I like the staff. But, seriously, it's a... rip-off of epic proportions and the food is really, really bad. No matter how much I like the decor or the view or how friendlythe staff are, nothing makes up for the terrible food. Just some of the bad food I've experienced at Fuji includes: salmon pokedrowned in sweet chili sauce, over-salted steak, rock hard lobster, being overcharged (for everything) like that $5 bottle of4oz water... Just... Infuriatingly bad and overpriced food. The staff are super nice, too, which makes it hurt that I have togive the food such an abysmal review. But you can tell not even the staff really care anymore. Our teppan chef played with ayolk, lit some stuff on fire, and then was done. Then he served up something I could have bought at Panda Express for 1/5th theprice. And I'll be honest with you, Panda Express tastes better. I've been to Fuji a few times. The food's been disappointingevery time. Read more

Did not have to wait long for an hibachi table. Service quick and with a smile. The chef was entertaining, and the food was... plentiful and cooked the way you wanted it. Flavorful and fresh. I recommend the NY Steak with Calamari. Was a calamari steaknot in pieces we are all used to. Was very tasty?Had soft Shell crab appetizer. Was ok ? crab meat was fresh? Good for 1 person.Hibachi dinner comes with mixed vegetables/small mushroom scallion soup/ tiny salad/ No ginger dressing. With fried rice /2prawnappetizer plus main dish? Yes leftovers? $$$ Was very good. Clean and they observe Birthday?s with a dance and drum and sing????. Thank you Fuji Steakhouse for a memorable Experience!!!? Read more

Visited Fuji for the first time to celebrate my birthday with friends and family. We had a group of 14 and took up 1 large table... that had 2 cooking surfaces and it worked out perfectly. The staff was super friendly and very attentive and the chefs put on agreat show. On top of all that, the food was amazing! I definitely recommend the filet and shrimp and be sure to get the friedrice. Read more

We booked a table for one of our children's birthday and had a great time. The location is clean, well appointed with an... excellent layout. The food was excellent as was our service. We ordered some very specific food for one of our more 'choosey'eaters and they were more than happy to accommodate. The sushi roll we ordered came with great added effects such as fire!(Dragon roll) and a mock up dragons head. Our chef was great and really entertained our kids with some cool handy work. Pricingwas good and within the ball park. Overall this was an excellent place to celebrate and we will be coming back in a few weeks. Read more

Had a GREAT hibachi dinner here on a Friday night. Service was excellent and we were luckily seated pretty soon after arriving.... I had some of the best hibachi-style filet and shrimp (with fried rice) of my life. The sushi appetizers were also excellent. They could have a larger sake menu, but the chilled nigori I ordered was pretty good. Will come again! Olympic Otter Read more

So I'm gonna do my review here of stars with no regard to the pricing cause it would throw it out of wack given i spent $96 for... two lunches including tax and tip and no drinks other than water. That aside, the food was excellent and the chef entertainingas one might expect. The restaurant was not crowded at lunch hour on a friday. The server very friendly and attentive. I thinkif your looking to take your significant other out for a nice meal special occasion this would fit the bill. I just dont see mepersonally doing it on any regular basis. Read more
