Let me start by saying I love poke. I love sushi. And I came to Bluewater about 4 years ago. It was really good. Large bowls and... lots of food. This trip 4 years later was disappointing. For 3 of us ( me and an 11 and 13 year old) getting one large bowl and2 regular bowls the cost was 60 bucks. First off the large only came with 3 scoops instead of the 5 at most places. Regular was2 scoops. The salmon was beautiful looking but when I was eating it, it was a bit mushy and bland. Dunno. I think the qualitywas ok and the bowls used are nice and the staff is friendly. I come here semi frequently and am usually pretty satisfied. Unfortunately the portion sizes are a little hit or miss depending... on who's working. Some people are super stingy and give really small amounts of everything and other people are awesome and givegreat portion sizes. The fish and other toppings are always fresh and taste good. First time coming here& definitely won't be the last! Apart from it being delicious! I love the simplified menu. I've been to... some other places where there is just to many add him & so much to choose from that it's very confusing. This place keeps itsimple and does Poki as it should be! Read more
I absolutely love this place! If you like sushi I'm sure you'll enjoy Blue Water Poke. They're consistent and delicious. I am... usually here once a week to have lunch. It's just that good. There's so many options to choose from but it's not overwhelming.You choose a desired size bowl, which determines how many proteins you can have (you can also add more for a fee). You chooseyour base, what proteins you want, add/mix-ins, choice of sauces from light to heavy, and toppings if desired. There's also aselection of drinks as well. It's prepared right in front of you and it's not much of a wait to complete a bowl if there's noline. If there is a line the longest I've waited was 15 minutes max. It's refreshing and not heavy like most fast foods I'vehad. Try this out one day if you're feeling something refreshing. Read more
Down in Redlands today and looking for a boba place and found this interesting place. Love the boba here; fresh and soft... ????. The pineapple green tea is very refreshing too! I didn't know what Poke was before, but thanks to this place it's the one thing I've been missing out on. When you go in you can... choose 2, 3, or 4 scoops of either brown or white rice. For protein, I get shrimp and octopus (choice of 2). For my mix-ins Iget cucumber, avocado, edamame, ginger, pineapple, sesame seeds, and green onions. For my sauce, I get mango habanero. I alsoget crispy onions and hot cheetos for my dry toppings on top. It's soooo good! This is an absolutely fantastic poke spot. They have more varieties of proteins than any other shop I have been to. The owners... are very nice, seem to care a lot about their customers and ensure that all the ingredients are the freshest they can be. Ienjoyed a three scoop combo and each one of the proteins was fantastic and the add-ins really made it. The lady owner even mademe a custom sauce to my liking and it was fantastic. I've tried many Poke places around Orange County at this point and I still am of the opinion that nothing comes close to... bluewater poke. I must have had a hundred bowls from here by now, the Hawaiian tuna delicious with all their other freshingredients, it doesn't feel right when I eat poke without it. I still haven't been able to find somewhere else like here. Ifyou are in the area and enjoy poke, you have to try out a bowl! You won't regret it! Read more
