Just ordered loaded hash browns but the amount of of potato wasn't there. Otherwise it was just toppings. Happy birthday to the... cute girl it was her birthday though thirty two years old . .to mine 42. Great service.. Didn't realize that you pay at yourseat, because I walked towards where I heard cash registers. I didn't walk off. I put the tip on my bill also. They arechanging it up here. But will come back..???? Much better than most diners/truck stops. We walked in at 9:40pm on a Tuesday night not realizing they were about to close, with... three kids. They treated us with kindness all the same. The food was the best breakfast food I?ve had in a long time. Ourwaitress, Linda was friendly and attentive. Bill was cheaper than fast food, including a 20%+ tip. We will definitely stop byagain on other trips south. Read more
As I drive my tour bus around I tend to be a pilot/ flying J guy but while returning from gator country I stopped at a Petro. ... Great stop. Plenty of room at the pumps, great store. I had an omelet at the Iron Skillet. Great. I will stop again. Read more
Iron Skillet , Great food, Bring your appetite. Healthy serving, reasonably priced. Pleasant ambience. The staff is... impeccable. My server for the night was Angelica. I had ordered a hardy Whiting fish dinner with two sides. French fries andonion rings. It came with a tasty slice of garlic bread. The flavor was beyond compare. It practically sings on my palate. Thesecond plate was a Fried Chicken and fries. Equally delectable. Whatever you order here, you can't go wrong. This was not myfirst time here and and it will not be my last. I went there today 8/3/22 for lunch. The manager showned in this photo was bussing tables left and right, calling food orders... in, helping too distribute such orders to the right tables, while keepi g a relax attitude, cracking a couple of simple jokesjust to keep things smooth, ect. Only 2 servers at that moment. This gentleman inquired not once but TWICE about my service dogif she needed a bowl of water or anything. He had time to in the blink of an eye create a white rose out of a napkin for acrying girl... Of course, no more crying after that. Two more servers appeared after being summoned over the phone more thanlikely by him and things started to pick more speed, plates were movíng faster, ice tea was being poured everywhere, dessertswere ordered, and everything and everyone.... WAS HAPPY. This is the kind of spirit that made this country. That gentleman couldit been bent out of shape, upset, about to quit, ect. But instead he commanded control of his ship, his crew. He adjusted thesails, corrected his vessels heading, and went head on. Master and Commander of his destiny, and a good example. My hat off tothis elegant man. This was the best restaurant breakfast that I've had in a long, long time. Within about 10 minutes; I had my meal & everything... was piping hot & delicious. You could tell the cook took pride in his work. The service from Deanna was also excellent. This isa traditional style truck stop/travel center sit-down restaurant; where truckers go when they want a hearty meal. It's locatedright beside I-75 & has plenty of parking for cars out front & trucks at the rear. The quality of the food, service & atmospherecan't be lauded adequately enough. The price of my breakfast was reasonable at about $13. (The only detractor was the price ofthe coffee at $3.50 for a very plain coffee; so BYOC [bring your own coffee]). I recommend this restaurant for it's relaxedquaint ambience, outstanding service & a meal you will enjoy taking your time to savor???????? Read more
