Reviews for Te'Jun The Texas Cajun- Red Oak in Red Oak, TX
Te'Jun is a treasure of a restaurant in the area. Having been disappointed with dining experiences in Waxahachie on my last... visits, this place was recommended to me. This is a great place to go for a solo traveller or a large family. Don't let thecrowded parking lot dissuade you as they have plenty of table space and the counter staff moves quickly to get you to the frontof the ordering line. Being a counter-service restaurant, you will pick up your meal and get your own drinks. This is greatfor me as I often travel solo and really enjoy a good meal without the full-service restaurant drama. This way, a diner can beout quickly or have a leisurely meal with family and friends. And, if you don't want to get out of your car, they even have adrive through. My grilled shrimp and lobster were great. Read more
The food was ok but not really what I?d consider as Cajun . Nothing spicy here just fried food. The place is nice but the food... is a bit on the pricey side. The outdoor patio is a nice area to sit with a nice view of the pond. This place does have plentyof seating and even has party rooms for private parties. It?s a good place for lunch but if you?re looking for fine dining thisis not it. Read more
We pass this place a lot and finally stopped in we were the 1st ones in and in line but it didn't take long to fill up. After... eating the food we can see why. Ooommmggg I'm so glad we finally stopped and ate here. If you haven't been you need too. Theinside is huge, nice, clean abd staff absolutely awesome and friendly. On today's visit we had the Slap Daddy and The BestSeller, gumbo, red beans and rice. And the pond view is the added bonus. Read more
Clean, spacious, pretty pond view, and friendly and fast staff. Hard to find good service like that! They?re doing everything... right! Hopefully their service standards don?t change. We ordered the shrimp po?boy and the catfish plate. Read more
Go for the beautiful pond that rest alongside the patio of the restaurant. I can see this restaurant being packed in the summer.... The pond was nice and the view was delightful. The food was subpar. The crab cakes hold together and have flavor but I cannottell you what flavor delights in them. 4 crab cakes for around $25, not bad for the price but I ate a couple of bites and didnot take another. The fish was decent, when I return I will get the fish, though it's thin, you get 4 pieces, a handful ofshrimp and fries for around $16. No coke products. They swing Pepsi here. They also sell lobster, crab legs and other Cajunrituals. I'll try lobster the next time I go. The end. Read more
The food is delicious, for sure has Cajun roots. Somewhat pricey but worth it. Very roomy and opening dining area, large bucket... for your shells you peel, or you can get them per peeled. Read more
A wonderful place to eat. It?s Cajun all the way. The food is reasonably price and tasty. If you sit on the deck you can enjoy a... beautiful view of the pond. Arrive around sunset and watch the sun set beyond the pond allowing you to see a beautiful view. Youcan buy fish pellets to feed the fish if the ducks don?t get it first. Read more
