We had a girls night out and decided to return to Forno for a lovely dinner. This is a spot we have been to a number of times -... and generally speaking, both the food quality and service have been fantastic. Tonight the food quality was as expected -delicious, filling and flavourful! The atmosphere was warm and intimate, chefs were flipping pizza dough and you could smell thewood burning in the oven. It’s such a cool experience! Service tonight was not as great as we have come to expect. I’mguessing they may have been short staffed due to weather being cold and snowy, however even when our sever did come around, heseemed absentminded and a little too “fake” nice that the experience wasn’t genuine. Poor guy also had some body odourthat overpowered the table when he stopped by for check-ins. I recognize that sometimes people can’t control this, but I’msharing the honest and full experience. ??????????? All this aside, I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s unassuming givenbeing so close to the highway turnoff and nestled in the hotel row. Go to relax and unwind and enjoy delicious food! Read more

Really nice vibes, attentive and friendly staff. Calamari was quite good, although a tad greasier than I’m used to but still... very good. Bruschetta was really good too, the bread could be a little more toasty as it does get a little soggy from thetoppings. Drinks were excellent. I would like to come back to try other things. It wasn’t the best pasta I’ve ever had, hadthe manicotti and the marinara is a little bland. But overall was a really nice meal and will definitely be back. Read more

Thank you Chef Thomas for the delicious meal and thank you Neil for the amazing service! Its very rare nowadays that the Chef... goes out of the kitchen, goes around table to table and check on the diners. He also mentioned that we can let him know if thefood meets our expectations or if not. This goes as well as for our host, checking on us and our meals if there's everything weneed and or if our food is great. Thank you team Forno! We will be back for sure!!! Read more

AMAZING!! What a lucky find. Came to Sylvan Lake/Red Deer for a quick getaway and decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner.... Top notch experience from Bar Manager Luke and the team. The food was "melt in your mouth" delicious. We had short rib ravioli, and the veal cutlett. The cocktail flight was soooo good, and the Tiramisu was perfect. We will definitely be back here. Went with my wife for valentine's day. The special menu was amazing. Great atmosphere, the place was packed and we still got... food and drinks in a timely manner. And the roses in the men's room were a nice touch. There's also wood fire pizza oven, so wehave to go again to try the pizza! Read more

Really great service and a beautiful setting. We got mussels in saffron sauce, boar meatballs, beef carpaccio, margarita pizza... and the prosciutto with arugula pizza. I wish I took a picture of our desert it was a peach schnapps panna cotta. I'm notusually a dessert person but when the head chef comes over and suggests it I couldn't resist and I'm glad I didn't! Thisrestaurant is attached to Hash a breakfast brunch restaurant I highly recommend. The 4 stars are only because of a few minorhiccups but it's understandable being a new restaurant. I look forward to going back later this week with my mom and hopefullytry out a few other menu items. This restaurant supports local in a huge way and it shows throughout the whole restaurant fromfood to the beverages. Try the coffee and people cow Saskatoon cream liqueur. Read more
