The Limoncello Fresca is tangy and fresh, with the Blackberry Mint Italian Soda as a wonderful nonalcoholic alternative. The... current seasonal menu offers a variety of different dishes to try out, so far I have enjoyed the Arancini (crunchy, cheesy anddelicious with Margherita sauce) as well as the Tre Formaggi Gigantico Ravioli - as perfect a ravioli as a person could as forand not be in Italy herself. I don’t usually post reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was so good I had to say something! The staff were so nice... and welcoming and seated us promptly and our server was very kind and accommodating. One of my friends has a dietary/allergyrestriction and our server did everything she could to make sure our needs were met. The food was very flavourful and a greatportion as it also came with all you can eat soup/salad. The atmosphere and vibe was great, which added to the welcomingenvironment of the restaurant. We had a issue with our food and the manager was wonderful about it.. the pizza dough was gross and undercooked our pasta tasted... like oil and my grandma didn’t even get a chance to eat because they hadn’t brought it out yet.. the hostess kept wiping hernoise with her hand. The server was nice and same with the manager.. never had issues with the food besides today.. the managermade up for the mistakes so definitely will be coming back at a less busy time. 5 stars for server and manager but 0 for foodhence the 3 stars. I hadn’t been to East Side Mario’s in years after a negative and bizarre experience that had our waitress start taking our... food away while we were still eating amongst other problems. But I had just driven over 6 hours from Grand Prairie and I wascraving pasta, so the wife and I thought about burying the hatchet with the Red Deer East Side Mario’s, and give it the firstchance in over 5 years. HUGE mistake. We get there at 9pm. A quick google search before we left the house revealed they closeat 10pm. So we get there at 9pm, and proceeded to wait nearly 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge our existence. The girl thatdid come to the door was super nice, but when she asked her boss if she could sit us the boss who was wiping down the bar wasrude. Yelling from the bar they were closed. Closed…. At 9:10pm when their hours say 10pm. I’ve worked in the restaurantbusiness, and people showing up an hr before close is not uncommon. Totally unprofessional. So as I look around I see a coupletables waiting for their food. So our simple party of 2,that would have been in and out in an hour left. Just wanted a quicktetrazzini and beer. So we went to Tiffany’s where I got pasta. Lobster linguine, lobster bisque, salt and pepper squid, racksof lamb and some killer drinks. Thank you East Side Mario’s Red Deer. For reminding me why I don’t go to your establishmentany more. There once was a time I went there up to 3x a week. Now I have been in there once in years and you didn’t want me ormy business. Had a great time there with my friends. The food was great. The staff were very nice. We pre-ordered our food because we had 20+... people and they didn't make a single mistake. My only suggestion is to work on the meatballs as they are very bland and thetexture is not very good. Read more
Staff very friendly, drinks were served within minutes of ordering. Food came quickly and was nice and hot. Courtesy bread was... warm and very soft. Place looked well maintained and looked clean. Would recommend the place. Food was very tasty. Read more
Absolutely ridiculous, so I get off work and call to order a take out order at 9 pm the young lady who answered the phone... explained that I have to use the call center which is fine and I called the call center...it was closed. So I called therestaurant to explain to them it's closed and I would like an order for pick up and straight up REFUSED to take it after Iexplained their call center is closed. They close at 10 pm...so i spoke to a manager who you think would be understanding of thesituation. So this Mrs Darlene Hamilton again REFUSED to take the order saying they don't do take out over the phone. Funnybeing a chef and working in this industry for over 10 years this is the first restaurant to not take orders over the phone. So Igive this restaurant and their lazy staff a 1/5 stars! And will not be eating their food anytime soon and strongly recommendthis manager go into the dish pit to wash dishes cause she has no management skills or customer service skills and has nointention of making this business money.
