Very pleasant restaurant. Dined in on a Monday evening. We enjoyed fish & chips, and squash ravioli. The ravioli was a... delightful dish with luscious cream sauce. The fish and chips were served with gravy and cole slaw. Very satisfying! Read more

This is a tough one for me. The food is pretty good but the price tag can hurt a bit for what you get. My biggest complaint here... is that it took almost 20 minutes for us to get our drinks. Something is amiss when your food comes at almost the same time asyour drinks. I am a huge fan of their original location in Lacombe but this location just doesn't hold that same standard. Read more

My hubby and I dined at the Cilantro and Chive on a Friday evening, after reading the reviews elsewhere and seeing their amazing... menu. We did make a reservation online and glad we did. The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived and there was a bit of awaitlist to get in. Since I had made the reservation, we did get seated right away. Our server, Estelle was great! She came byour table shortly after we were seated and since we had never dined there before, I did have a few questions about themenu. They have a great food selection, and an even better drink menu! Of alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices. My husband gotthe Kinabik pint and I got the mocktail flight board. Our drinks did take a little longer to come out, but Estelle apologizedfor the wait and honestly it really wasn't too long of a wait. My flight board had a Lavender lemonade, Fuzzy Peach Slush,Raspberry mojito and peach mule (all non-alcholic). Normally I'm not a huge lavender fan, but it was my favorite drink! All ofthem were super tasty and refreshing! The restaurant was participating in the Alberta on a Plate event and I ordered theirBison meatballs and spaghetti and my spouse ordered the fish and chips. Our meals took a little longer to come out (and thistime we did notice the wait), around 25 minutes to come out. But we were enjoying our drinks and the ambiance. My spaghettientrée was a good size, and tasted great! The cheese filled bison meatballs were very tasty and the spaghetti was good as well.I do wish that my dish was slightly warmer, but that didn't stop me from enjoying my meal. My husbands fish and chips were verycrispy and seasoned well. The fish pieces could have been a little bit bigger, but he was happy with his meal. We didn't haveroom for dessert, which was disappointing, but overall we were super happy with our meals and our dining experience! Estelle wasa great server and very pleasant. We will definitely be back to dine at Cilantro and Chive the next time Read more

Tried the Lacombe location and was underwhelmed but this location was way better. local, fresh, handmade, this menu has it all.... Great cocktails too. The chili mussels are a must have, I had the mega crunch with pepperoncini jam and it was delicious. Nicecrunch with not too much batter. Will definitely go back. Read more

Had a birthday celebration here. Two stars mainly for the service. We weren’t there at a peak time and I had to seek out who... our server was going to be and at one point one of our guests cleared our table for us. I’ve been to the Lacomb location moreand have always enjoyed both food and service. Sad as I have recommended this place as a must do for food when in Red Deer. Ihad the brisket grilled cheese, delicious but needed a bit more cheese to qualify as a grilled cheese in my opinion. Cocktailflight was very tasty and of course the creme brûlée was amazing. Chill and enjoy some great eats.... Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, fast service (visited weekday afternoon). Not a large... menu, however, they still have a good selection of food. Large variety of beers. Overall, great place to eat. Read more

My first experience here was better than my second; although both times the drinks are excellent and service is solid. Out of... the dishes I have tried I would suggest the Poutine (Dill Pickle one and Gravy is delicious), the Fish and Chips, and KoreanBowl. Burgers are solid too, but I wanted a beef patty over the chicken for the Taco in a Bag Burger. I needed more seasoningand spice for the pasta dishes in my opinion. They tasted a tad bland. Read more
