I can honestly say I used to love burger boy but my last two experiences left me extremely disappointed. The chicken burger had... a chicken piece as thin as a cheese slice was cold & the beef burgers completely dry and cold we ended up throwing it away andgetting something else. This is my absolute favorite place to eat in red deer. The BEST veggie burger and fries. So many veggie burgers are so greasy... but this one is absolutely perfect ???? The staff are always so welcoming and have such positive energy. I love the retro vibein the restaurant. I want to mention a specific experience with a staff member. My receipt said Karen was at the till so I hopethat was her. (Young woman, brown hair in a braid, I think she had a bit of freckles) She was extremely bubbly and had greatenergy. The food was okay, the curly fries were pretty good, but it's hard to ignore how run down the place is. Food was also pretty... expensive for the portion sizes given. The seats are all duct taped together, and it doesn't look like it's seen a reno inyears if not decades. I get it's not the most ideal location for high quality, but still was not a great experience and did notgive me confidence my food was going to be from a well-maintained and sanitary kitchen if they can't even take care of the placewhere customers see. I cannot overstate how amazing this restaurant is! I am a teacher and I brought about 75 students to Red Deer. I initially... picked Burger Boy because their prices were unbeatable and we always try to keep costs of field trips down for families. Icontacted the owner in advance and she bent over backwards to accommodate my students with allergies and any other specialrequests we had. The food was AMAZING! I had 70 teenagers and not ONE complaint about the food-which is pretty much amiracle. I also made a lot of last minute changes to our order (some 20 mins before we picked it up) and she accommodatedeverything and never made me feel like we were being difficult (which we probably were!) We will make this a regular stop forour family and for my students on our trips to Red Deer! Read more

Food was amazing! Loved the old school atmosphere. I'm so happy we accidentally stumbled on this place. It was a short walk from... the only fast e-charger in Red Deer. Unfortunately not sure we'll be back as we need towns with better electric vehicleinfrastructure & Red Deer is far behind other towns in the area. Read more
