I'm not sure where all the 4 and 5 star reviews came from. I had high hopes for this place since the Mexican restaurant there... prior was horrible. The food was flavorless. The meat was tasteless and tough. The salsas, rice, and beans had nearly noseasoning. The rice is overcooked and mushy because it's cooked with too much water. Far from authentic. I took most of my mealhome and had to season it myself to make it edible. Read more

Excellent hidden gem in the heart of the busy streets of Red Bank. The place is super cute and authentic looking, the food is... not too spicy (I like ????) so guess it's on the bland side for spice lovers but otherwise the food is really yum. A littlehabenero sauce fixes the missing hotness. The staff is very welcoming, sweet and nice. I would highly recommend KitchenTex-Mex. Read more

I love this place. Idalia and the staff is always extremely nice to us. I love the ?family owned? feeling of the restaurant and... how fresh and tasteful the food always is. We love the Mole, burritos, quesadillas and still have to try more stuff. If you wantauthentic Mexican food I strongly recommend this place. Read more
