Had a fantastic meal here. Quinn was our lovely server who provided great advice on the menu and helped make it a wonderful... experience. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Pretty good food for what it is. Full of flavor, but improvements can be made. The burger did not automatically come with cheese... but used the blue cheese from the wings to compensate. I would’ve liked to order spicy Mayo and more cheese, but the waitershad to cross the street for small things that felt like a hassle. Besides that, everything was all alright. The pizza was okay,but too much broccoli rob taking it away from the pizza. The wings, lord the wings. These wings are one of the best we’ve had.If you can find a good wing spot, it makes up for the other parts! We got 5 drinks, 4 beers, and 1 cocktail(Mexico one). Billwas around $100. 3 stars as their outdoor seating is sloppy looking, the burger doesn’t come with cheese, the pizza was justalright, it felt like a chore to ask the waiter for something in addition to the meal, and the cocktail could have been better. Now everyone who knows me, knows that I will ALWAYS find the hottest spots for the BEST grub in the area – Red Bank certainly... wouldn’t be any different! We shot over to B2 Bistro + Bar which I will preface was absolutely INCREDIBLE. We were greeted bythe General Manager of the Red Bank location (they have 5 locations – 4 in Jersey and 1 in Pennsylvania), Dylan, who escortedus to our reserved table. The location itself has a cool and casual ambiance with a long beautiful old-school wood built bar,huge wood burning pizza oven and a lot of open space with high ceilings. One thing that I noticed immediately when stepping intothe space - was the aroma! The foreshadowing of what was to come enveloped my nose and I could feel my taste buds anticipatingthe flavor that was about to be bestowed upon them! I enjoyed the history lesson that I requested from Dylan who told us allabout the Bistro’s humble beginnings. I’ve always appreciated the tidbits of rich history that each restaurant that I’vedined at offers… it’s truly amazing. I also wanted to shout out our terrific server, Shane – who was a great guide when itcame to navigating the menu and the local favorites. Now… when it comes to the menu – it changes from season to season! Onemainstay is the Slow Cooked Pig and now we know why… TOTAL WIN! We had the pleasure of having this dish presented by ChefDimas Montalvo III – he’d explained the preparation to us as being an overnight slow roast of the full pig. Once ready, theypull the pork – then press and sear it in order to lock in the flavor! Eventually, when it’s ready to meet its maker… thepork is delicately placed on a bed of BBQ squash puree, and surrounded by delicious brussel sprouts! I've been going to B2 Bistro for a number of years now, mainly for their quality beer selection. While that has held true, I've... seen many different iterations of the menu and happy to report consistent favorites maintained, and fresh new additions addedwith the seasons. It's one of my favorite burgers in the area (though I agree some of the toppings should be complimentary forthe price), especially with the perfectly-cooked fries. Speaking of fries, the Rally Fries appetizer is always a hit andthankfully still available. The pizzas are Neapolitan style and offer diverse toppings. I can't speak much to the wine, buthalf-off bottles Thursdays are amazing with a group of friends. Though my favorite bartender has moved on from there, the restof the team are perfectly capable of crafting balanced cocktails. To top it off, they source a lot of their ingredients locally,which I appreciate immensely. If I could offer any critique, they could probably ditch 4 of the 6 TVs (that have significant LCDburn-in) and it would significantly improve the ambiance in the bar/hi-top room. Read more
