First time coming out to Judy's and I have to say the food was excellent hot and fresh. The staff was very nice and quick to get... you what you needed. The host was very welcoming along with the atmosphere. Our waiter an waitress we had were Jordan and Meganand the both went above and beyond service wise. I would absolutely recommend trying this place out as the food is outstandingand service / environment is very relaxing. Great spot to bring someone for a date. I will be coming back again. I have to say thank you to everybody working there for finally giving us a fantastic anniversary dinner. I started losing faith... in people being able to provide good food and good service but everybody at Judy?s has restored my trust. In the Reading area for a work assignment. Stumbled on this very unassuming place and decided to venture in as I had read a few... reviews online the week earlier...sounded nice but def understated in reviews. Upon entering the establishment, allspaces/elements I experienced felt very alive - I knew I found myself a gem, only left to see if the food would be cohesive withthe appealing concept of the space. Warm & Classy Contemporary; the colors, music, ambiance, smells, lighting and friendlinessof staff...a warm welcome and great smooth jazz playing. Everything perfect, colorful artwork, lovely tables settings, lightingconcepts. I believe it may have the owner who sat me and proceeded to get specifics from the chefs as to exact ingredients inthe soup of the day, right down to the stock used. Then, greeted by a friendly waitstaff, extremely knowledgeable with the menuand helpful as it was difficult to make a selection. The wine selections for Chardonnay we're all new to me, but as all otheraspects of this place we're perfect. I did it up...app, soup, entree' and take home for a full meal w/ the Braised Lamb Shank.Everything ordered was over the top in flavor, (contemporary & comfy food mix) presentation and freshness/integrity ofingredients. A dining experience you must try if anywhere in the area. Walked in with a smile on my face and left with a bigsmile. Sister restaurant to the historic Speckled Hen. Diverse menu of sides, toast, appetizers, and dinners. Great atmosphere and... friendly staff add to the dining experience. Spectacular cocktail menu and decent beer list to lubricate your pallette.Decadent, devious and delicious, the 3Ds of dessert!!! Great spot for a quick bite before a Royals game or a nice dinner. Nothing but exceptional service and food. This menu is so unique. The inside of Judy?s is so interesting and beautiful - would... really like to learn this history. Judy herself can even be seen running food and socializing at tables. Read more
Fantastic menu. We had the gluten free pizza. Excellent choice. My wife has celiacs gluten allergy. Great options and... knowledgeable staff where this is concerned. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night or a dinner out with friends or family.Great dessert and drink menu. The whole evening was outstanding. Can't wait to go back to Reading and try more of theselections. Read more
Worst service ever in a restaurant last night. Waited 20 minutes for our drink to be delivered and when it was the white wine... was already warm. So it was sitting at the bar waiting to be delivered to us for a long time. Our server was probably new. Tallwith dark hair and friendly, but very quiet. After our wine was finished we wanted to order another glass but did not see ourserver again until our main course was delivered and then she never asked if we wanted another drink. We would have had at leasta couple more glass each if anyone had bothered to ask. So we drank water, and skipped desert to go elsewhere for a drink. Foodwas not bad, probably worth about 3 stars as the pork tenderloin was overcooked, but tasted okay. We won?t be back. Read more
