Great food if you're looking for something fairly quick and easy. Prices are a little more than other sandwich shops around, but... I don't mind paying a little more for good food. My favorites are the Ham and cheese sandwich, french fries, and Sicilian pizzaslices. Pretty good all around! Read more
Been going to D& J?s since the Borns owned it. Always had good food. BUT things have changed! Sandwiches have gotten smaller and... smaller. Prices have gone up a lot. Kids have been running the business and are always messing up the orders. Hardly any meat onthe Italians and they advertise 1/2 pound fries (small)-13 fries were given. I will be going elsewhere. Love this place. Would be 5 stars if the milkshakes were thicker. They tend to be more like ice cream flavored milk. Foods... always been great though and not over priced. Edit: apparently you can order your shakes thick! Read more
The rolls are super good, but they really skimp out on the meat here, especially on the Italian subs. You'll definitely be left... wanting.. and hungry. Don't get the Italian salad here. Barely any meat. Lettuce that's about to turn. Perhaps the worstiteration of the Italian I've seen in Berks County. The cheese steak came through. Tender meat, perfectly caramelized onions,generous portions. The sauce was bland, but luckily the steak could pick up the slack in the flavor department. If they couldjust refine their Italian hoagie and get their salads up to snuff, D&J would be back in my good graces. Read more

We get something from D&J almost every week. We're never disappointed. This week I tried something different. I ordered a... Grilled chicken salad. This was one of the best salads I ever had. It's like a large sandwich with out the roll. So if you wantto get something not so filling but delicious go for one of these salads. Read more
