Course seemed to be in great condition and is typically a great day. However day turned in to a waste when after arriving for... our tee time we were informed there was a tournament. They stated that we ?should be fine? so we figured the tournament musthave started earlier in the morning and just finishing up. Nope started an hour prior to our tee time. The young lady at thefront desk was very pleasant and agreed it was odd that no one told us there was a tournament when we called for tee time. Amanager came out and had no regard for our concerns. Begrudgingly she refund us $18 of the $53. Shame we travelled 40 miles forthis experience. Read more

I haven?t golfed here since the 70s so I didn?t know what to expect. We have had a lot of rain recently so the course was in... great shape. Some of the best greens we played all year. Lots of doglegs makes it challenging. Overall I love the course andI think the owners are serious about making it better. Everyone was so nice. Worth the trip for us. Keep up the good work. I really want to give 5 stars. Based on the other reviews I was certain we would be able to. Pros: very nice pro shop, clean, ... updated, friendly staff. The course is decent as far as layout, the clubhouse is nice, country and cozy aesthetically. It washopping with a party, people playing cornhole, eating and drinking. That was great to see. Cons: the fairways are so dry, coarse and just neglected, the ant hills have set up their own villages. The greens were decent, but barely. It looked like anabandoned golf course. Dry, brown, dead. The beautiful photos you see posted by others and on their website, are not what thereality is, today 7/31/22. I get it?s been hot. But you have a golf course ?.isn?t there a contingency plan? Like?watering thecourse. Update?owner replied which is appreciated. Yes, we could see the pride taken. Very clean facility. I would describethis establishment as a clubhouse and restaurant that happens to have a course, rather than a golf course that happens to have aclubhouse. The money put into the facility is great, but the course itself is in poor shape. It was obvious the days revenuecame from the restaurant and not the course ?it was dead out there in many ways. The website is misleading. But, once the newirrigation is in place this could indeed be the nicest course around! It is certainly possible. Feedback can be hard to swallowand your reply leads me to believe you agree with my feedback even though it is constructive. Good luck! Read more

Nice course in Ravena, friendly staff and a nice lounge for drinks after a good round of 18. Course is long, well maintained,... and not at all difficult. Some beautiful holes with nice views, wide fairways to just let it fly, makes for a great day ofgolf. Read more

Nice place. Attended skitter creek band affair. So crowded the wait staff and kitchen were backlogged. The bar maids were... excellent even though the crowd was huge. Read more

Course was much-improved, enjoyable. Interior work has nicely retained the nature of the building. Bartender was a... one-man-show at 2:00pm, negatively affecting bar/food service. We will definitely return. Read more

Sycamore is a beautiful course and great challenge. You can tell the owners have put a lot of effort in making your time at the... club an amazing experience. I have visited 6 times this season and every time I?ve visited they?ve been working on somethingnew. I have 0 complaints. The course, views, pro shop, and bar are phenomenal. I love the drink selection and the food choices. My favorites to order after a round are a double Buffalo Trace and the hot maple wings. It?s also really nice to see a staffthat cares about the experience of your visit and the care of the course. I have always felt very welcomed and the course hasbeen in perfect condition. This is my favorite club in the 518 and may have the hardest 18th hole. I definitely recommendseveral visits to Sycamore, I know I plan to be back multiple times a week to take advantage of their twilight deal. ($15 anyweekday to walk 18) Read more

Definitely on its way back. New owners and staff are doing great things in every aspect from bringing the course back to life to... giving the club house space and menu a much needed face lift. I look forward to the continuing improvements. Read more
