Spent three lovely days in the park, we stayed in the Turner House which is appointed with beautiful antiques but most... importantly at this time of year is air conditioned. Our friends stayed in one of the gorgeous cabins but had no air. Also theywere disappointed not to have a king bed which our room had. But we all had an amazing time. The staff is the most solicitousand professional you will find.?the food was incredible. Lots of great game dishes. Especially loved the antelope, all thesalads, well? everything. We scheduled fly fishing 2 different days - 1st day was in a boat on the lake with Eric who wasincredibly\nKnowledgeable and good natured. Lots of fun, caught great fish! Next day we went above 10,000 feet to the highcountry and fished the streams with Logan. Also an excellent guide and great personality! Caught so many cool Rio Grandecutthroats!\nOne day we went in the tour from the lodge to the high country with Shea. What a great guy! Really personable, knowledgeable! He took us on the road and right into the middle of a heard of Bison. Very exciting. I must also mention Williamthe bartender who is incredible. Great to talk to, makes the best drinks anywhere and does it with\nSuch presentation. We sawdeer on the property - off property we saw elk, turkeys, more deer, a blond bear, Bald Eagle, Pronghorn, loads of Bison! Theexpansive property is pristine and unlike many other parks has very little traffic or\nSign of man. Breathtaking. They areincredible stewards in their caretaking of the property and lands. Lots of great events, fish fry, ice cream making. One personin our party had children who were coddled by staff and always had fun things to do! I most highly recommend! Read more
words truly can\'t describe the Vermejo experience. to start with the service is next level, with anything you need attended to,... but not in a pushy way. you have a bug bite, let me take care of that for you. the reserve itself is,.....well you need toexperience it for yourself. a guide told me, yellowstone is one bison and 100 cars, vermejo is 100 bison and one car. and thatis exactly what we experienced. my kids will have an incredible memory for life (and me too). Just wow. Read more
An incredibly special and beautiful ranch! Our family unplugged from technology and spent 5 days at Vermejo. It was the most... amazing experience, with incredible outdoor activities, wildlife sightings (including bison) and some of the best hospitalityand culinary dining we?ve experienced in our travels. The accommodations are top-notch and their staff make you feel so specialand welcome. The guides we had for our outdoor activities were so knowledgeable and made fly fishing, archery, and trail ridingso much fun! None of us wanted to leave after 5 days, and we will definitely be back. Just a few days ago I was standing on top of 12,868 ft State Line Peak high above the Vermejo Park Ranch with my guide, Tricia,... taking in spectacular views. This was the first of several peaks we would do that day. I can thank Harry, the ReserveAmbassador, for setting up my visit on short notice and providing a most capable accomplished guide, well-versed on a wide rangeof outdoor subjects. A fantastic visit, beautiful scenery and a delightful hiking companion in Tricia. I haven?t talked thatmuch in years. Highly recommend visiting VPR. Read more
