Great place, tidy and organized. Food was awesome, decent sized portions and good flavor. Our server Michael was amazing,... attentive but not over-bearing. We stopped in here thinking it would be nice to get a break from sitting in the car. It was definitely a break... I don't know... how the chicken fried steak is, because we waited for over an hour and it never came, so we left. Service is obviously superslow, though the people were friendly enough. It took maybe 20 minutes just to get a soft drink, and then they brought me asalad that I couldn't eat until I got silverware from a nearby table. Seems like a nice local spot for those who have nowhereelse to be..... Prepare yourself for probably 2-3 hours if you want drinks, an appetizer, a main course, and dessert. God knowshow long it would have taken to get our bill. Read more
Me and my boss were driving back to Texas coming from Colorado Springs, when he mentioned a steakhouse that he really wanted to... visit. I found it on the map and low and behold it was K-Bobs! I started reading some reviews and they all looked pretty good tome so we gave it a go. We went on a Wednesday around noon and it wasn't packed at all. The staff were so so nice and helpful,and the restaurant itself was pretty comforting with their wheelbarrow wheel light fixtures up top, and other decor ofsimilarity. We ordered fried pickles and mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, and they came out pretty dang fast. So.... I don'tknow what they did here with their mozzarella sticks, but OH MY GOD they were so delicious! The pickles were just as good, andonce my salmon and his 16oz ribeye came out, the true test was ready to begin. My salmon was cooked pretty dang good, a littleon the drier side, but still flavorful and tender. The rice had some crunchy spots, but honestly I'll let that pass, it wasn'tthat big of a deal. I also ordered seasonal veggies to go with my salmon and they too were a little on the drier side, but witha little bit of butter PRESTO! My boss absolutely LOVED his steak. He word for word said it came out perfect! Way better thanexpected. Overall if you're a traveler coming through, or if you live nearby, STOP BY THIS PLACE! Still on the road and want hot food and a break. Found this place and the food was not bad but nothing to write home about.... Steaks were cooked as ordered but reminded me of a chain like Bonanza or Western Sizzlin. Staff and server were great. So knowwhat to expect. Read more
The wife and I stopped here after we'd been traveling on the road from the west coast the last 5 days. The KOA down the street... suggested them to us. I had the Shrimp Fajita and my wife had the T-Bone Steak. We didn't have high hopes for our food beingcooked the way we like it, but such is life on the road! We received our food and boy was I shocked. The shrimp were cookedperfectly and my wife said her steak (medium-rare) was cooked better than some of the well known steak houses we've been to inthe past. The portions were more than enough for us. The staff were pleasant and kept everything topped off without bugging uslike some other places like to do. My husband and I got the charloin with brown gravy and mashed potatoes. It was so bland, you could serve it at the old folks'... home. Nice staff and decent service though! I forgot to get a photo of our meals, but here's the fried Pickles. They're crunchyand pretty yummy! Read more
Historically a great place to eat. This time there was a sign about being short staffed, and the food and service was not what... we have come to expect. Still, better than any other options we are aware of in Raton. Read more
Traveling through from Oklahoma. Restaurant was very clean, staff very friendly, no loud music and no staff ringing bells while... singing happy birthday. Dinner was fantastic. My husband had ribeye steak and I had chicken fried chicken. This experience wasbetter than most steak houses at home! Highly recommend Read more
