We got there around 5:15 and the place was packed. We got a table right away but as we were leaving there were tons of people... waiting. We ordered a porterhouse to share with 3 sides. The hot buns with cinnamon butter was so good as well. It was alldelicious and enough food for 2 people. They had a customer rep go around and ask people how the service and food was. Killer Ribs fall off the bone goodness. Salad was cold but one leaf was brown not fresh, only had 1 crouton. Biggest complaint... was kids meal was raw undercooked chicken. Not sure how many were consumed. Manager replaced and comped the kids meal and thenjust covered our entire bill. No one got sick and they assured me the kitchen was made aware. Overall a good experience. Theywere busy but not a long wait and no other issues. Waitress Mackenzie was awesome. Read more

This is the very first time we had such an uncomfortable experience at this particular restaurant. Our server Heaven, didn't... check on us too much and I noticed there was no manager walking around to check on the customers like there usually is. As youcan see from the photo, this should have been medium well but it looks more like raw than even rare! The steak was taken off ofour final bill at least but she didn't come around to see how we were going to pay. I paid our bill online at least, otherwise Ishudder to think how long we would wait for our card to be processed. This was one of a very few in Rapid city that we werehappy to go to. Our ribeye steaks were cooked right to order and tasted fine with just a simple salt/pepper seasoning. Everything else was also... cooked fine, but unfortunately, the salads are pre-made and served on ice-cold plates, and it would be nice to get a beer in aglass that isn’t frozen as well. The wait was pretty long, but it was a Saturday night. When we were initially sat, they crammed us into a booth next to a booth... full of people with a table at the end. Needless to say it was extremely difficult getting situated with five adults and twobabies, one of which we requested a high chair for and they gave us a booster seat because they couldn’t put a high chair atthe end of the table. We requested to move and were told that it depended on table availability but were able to switch tablesquickly. Our waitress was fairly quiet and seemed like she had a personal matter going on and didn’t want to be at work. Sheforgot a couple things that we had requested, like a kids sprite and a spoon. Some of the meals didn’t come out the way we hadordered them; like some steaks weren’t cooked to our request. Our waitress rarely checked on us and we had to go to the bar torequest a refill on our soda. Overall it wasn’t a terrible experience but definitely not the best that I’ve had at a TexasRoadhouse. I've been waiting for the big moment when the door opened at 3 pm ,will 1st time and very hungry. All smiles as we walked in... waited a short moment for a table. After we got settled in Evan, our waiter brought bread that was tasty while looking over themenu. We both settled on the Dallas Filet bake potatoe with salad. The steak was top-notch as the temp was perfect and very easyto cut, and most of all, there was no need for steak sauce as the steak tasted so good. I've not had a steak that good in awhile.
